Very nice video with excellent movement pictures and great info, I Love IT!!!!!! I am a watch collector and also an advanced watch maker. I service the watches of my own collection, almost all of them Chronographs from different brands, including four Rolex from different periods, but mostly Omega Speedmasters (19), Seiko 6138/39 (11). I would add this one to my collection coz so far, it posses one of the most advanced movements you can have. The specs are impressive- A Hand Made movement beating st 36000 VPH, 80 Hrs Power Reserve with Chrono on, Vertical Clutch, Column Wheel, 100 m Water Resistance, Hardened Titanium with Zaratsu Finish, 60 jewels of which 5 are in the Balance wheel assembly, and 4 with the escape lever, and 4 jewels per gear staff, date at 4'. The only things is missing to be PERFECT is the METAS Certification with the 15000 Gauss Anti-magnetic properties. The only other movement that can fully compete with this one is not the Rolex, but the Omega 93xx series of Calibers, all of them METAS-certified chronometers. But none of the Omega beat at 36k VPH, or have the polish level finish of this watch, or the 80 hour power reserve, or 60 jewels. The Rolex caliber 4130 comes from a very conservative watchmaker that has technical limitations. Those technical limitations from Rolex made the El Primero Caliber to be detuned from 36000 VPH to 28800 VPH coz Rolex could not control the oiling necessities of the El Primero movement, and that caliber became Rolex Caliber 4030. But how come Grand Seiko could do 36000 VPH in its first Chronograph ever? And how come Zenith has been able to do 36000 VPH since the 1970s? So YES, for me IMHO, the Tentagraph, like the Omega Calibers, is head and shoulders above the Rolex. The Rolex is more expensive, but that is due to Rolex been a Master in Advertising, Marketing and Production, the best in the business. But there are many brands that are equal or superior to Rolex, and the Grand Seiko together with Omega, are two of them.
43+mm size and 15+mm thickness? Good job on them for making revolutionary movements but until they sort their dimensions (and lousy bracelet and clasp) I will not consider adding GS chronographs to the collection anytime soon.
GS lover. Have a number of their pieces. Only one thing stops me from immediately saying I’d buy it and that’s the fact that I have a number of good chronos already and there are other spots in the collection I’d firm up first. Remarkable piece though. They do seem to be trying to piss you off with lug width. You didn’t mention so I’ll also assume the bracelet lacks micro-adjustments
I have astron and bought this instead of sea dweller. Well my review is after a month on my wrist, it gives me the same satisfaction and experience as my astron 😢
Would the Zenith Chronomaster be a worthy contender instead of the Daytona (which is overpriced as is), considering the legendary hi-beat El Primero? And it is quite a bit less expensive than the Tentagraph, with a decent power reserve of 60 hrs.

I agree with this.
I own the GS Tentagraph and next watch will be Omega Co-Axial master chronometer Moonphase.
