@@MarkSmith-er7feNo way, Mark. I find it quite shocking, actually. Years ago, whilst visiting a local cemetery where some relatives were buried, I came across the grave of a girl in my year at school who died of a fatal asthma attack. She was just nine months older than me and seeing the gravestone brought it home to me with considerable force. The event itself happened 21 years earlier, in 1985. So my previous remark was made with this in mind!!!

Congratulations! Jesus said “I am the way, the truth and the life; no-one comes to God except through Me (John 14:6). Jesus wants you to to cast all your cares on Him because He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). Only by repenting of sin and trusting in Jesus to guide your life are you spiritually safe for all eternity. I encourage you to prayerfully read The Holy Bible. @@geemonster9179

During my time at senior school, a girl in my year died of a fatal asthma attack. It was 1985 and I was just fifteen - the girl in question was only nine months older than me. I found out because an old relative told me during the school holidays. Incidentally, I am asthmatic and now fifty one!

This video just appeared in my recommended section and the thumbnail of Joann Kenny reminded me of a dream I had last night in which I met her and started chatting with her on a train!! In the dream, I knew she was the Grange Hill actress, but didn't mention it, and I remember she was really nice and very easy to talk to!
Her character was in the same year as me in school when I used to watch it in the late 80s. I'd no idea she'd passed away.

Oh how I miss watching Grange Hill it was such a brilliant programme and they don't make them like that anymore which is a great shame. I never missed an episode once I got into watching it. I can remember Mr Bronson that's how old I am!
I used to find myself worrying about certain characters and they had such brilliant and very talented actresses and actors.
It was sad to see my all time favourite Grange Hill star Laura Sadler who was also in Holby City and a film called Intimate Relations with Julie Walters and Rupert Graves. Laura and I were basically pen pals, I would write to her and she would write back saying what she liked about the shows she was in. I used to watch her on Grange Hill and think she was going to be a big star she had that extra something about her. She was a wonderful actress, very kind and very funny too. I got invited to a special do they did for her after she died where there was lots of famous people there who knew her. It was in a theatre (there was a few from Grange Hill there) and they showed film footage of Laura and they shared stories about her. She was an awesome young lady gone far too young xxx

Mr. McGuffy was my favourite teech in Grange Hill, he was young and a bit hippyish and the kids affectionately called him 'Scruffy McGuffy'.
Eventually the headmistress told him to spruce himself up a bit and he seemed to goodnaturedly comply..:)

    “Death”
Sue-Patt's death was announced on Twitter and his Facebook profile on 22 May 2015. Scotland Yard confirmed that officers had forced entry into a flat in Walthamstow after concerns were raised about the welfare of the occupant; however, the death was not treated as suspicious. It was reported that Sue-Patt may have died up to a month before his body was discovered.

This was very moving, especially the "pupils" who have left us. Michael Sheard was great, I didn't recognise Mark farmer, who later played "Justin" in several episodes of Minder.

Very sad to see so many have died, where most of those who played the teachers, especialy the senior ones would have been a fair age, It's quite shocking to see the number who must have passed relatively young.
