He's like a kid that has never left his town before. His honesty and humbleness is refreshing and makes a change from the over-the-top videos others make. Keep it up!
yeah I'd love to do more of that myself, and I do off camera, but sometimes when you're filming it's tough and I don't want to put people on camera unless they're comfortable with it
Ed this series has become one of the favourites parts of my day! Incredible work putting together this amazing series!! Can't wait to see where it goes
Lovely video, Ed. It brought back memories of my first solo holiday in Venice in 2013. It was a spontaneous trip. I will always remember walking out of the train station and being confronted by the beauty of the place. I was overwhelmed by the experience. Well done.
Venice looks amazing!! Love the hotel room. You seem genuinely excited Ed 😂😂😂 The bidet convo did make me laugh, reminded me of The Inbetweeners movie 😂😂😂
I'd love to see a video of you traveling through Europe and going to some random countries top pizzerias. ' I tasted 5 of Europe's best pizzas in 5 days'
i think you're amazing for doing this. It's really brave. I attempted my first solo travel last year but it backfired and i'm still trying to build up courage to try it again
Brilliant video Ed as ever, love your humour 👍🙂 Went to Venice in October and it poured down all day, so one of the things we did to get out of the rain was to visit the da Vinci museum that you visited and your reaction to the place summed up my feelings when I went as well 🤣 It is an amazing city to visit but have to be lucky with the weather as we couldn't even get access to the main square due to flooding and the sheer numbers of people who were visiting, can kind of understand why they are bringing in a charge to try and limit the numbers visiting. Looking forward to your next video, this has been a brilliant series so far 👍🙂
Yeah I love the guy but his concept of food prices is mental lol. But from his other videos he mostly eats takeaway and Tesco meal deals so in that case 14 euros isn’t much more than those.
Really lovely video. So many stunning sights. I totally understand your apprehensions around planning journeys and venturing to different places alone. I've travelled to quite a few places on my own, including Aus,Barcelona, and Bali, and actually loved it. Glad you enjoyed your time in Venice.
In fact, the use of canals as a sewage disposal system in Venice surprises many visitors, and should definitely deter you. Some islands and parts of the historic center use more modern sewage systems, but still, a lot of the wastewater in big parts of the city is disposed of in the lagoon. Twice a day, the tides pull the dirty water out of the lagoon and bring fresh seawater in.
When I was in Venice 6 years ago I remember being in that square with the palcilica and it is outrageous one of the nicest spots in Europe that I’ve seen
Went to Venice in 1970 went again in 2001 this time on a trip doing several Italian cities. We were given a voucher to exchange for a coffee and biscuit in St Marks Square in a cafe but they were reluctant to accept the voucher and still wanted £4.50. We went for lunch with the agent and coach driver in Venice they had a lovely portion of fish with chips we had a few chips and a fish skeleton in batter. Why is any food more expensive in Italy and France than say Spain and GB.
Really interesting episode, looks lovely but was a bit surprised when you said the UK has nothing like it mibby im spoiled for choice since I'm in Scotland. That hotel room was honestly pretty dirty and the wear and tear on the room was in pretty bad shape but it somehow both felt like a place you would wake up tied up yet cozy at the same time... Love to see you genuinely enjoy these trips and credit to you taking an adventure
Man i love your content and sence of humer!! When you put the glasses on man i cant help imagining If stephen merchant and Karl Pilkington had a child you would be it lol No hate!! as both are incredibly cool! .
I absolutely love your content keep up your hard work and I'm always waiting for your next adventure omg you should pat yourself on your back for putting yourself out of your comfort zone but you make it look so easy lol fair to you ❤
Venice the most Stunning Place in the World. Thats all i can say. Better after the Cruise Ships have buggered off though, Standing on St Marks Square is a pleasure. Walk towards the water and turn right the Church on the far bank takes your breath away. You thinking the UK has History. Its got Nothing compaired to Italy. Tears in my eyes thinking of Venince what a place.
Bro, consider yourself lucky you didn't touch this water. Venice is pumping the sewage into it. That's why some canals smell so bad. Edit: By the way: Please put absolutely no valuables into your backpack! The pickpocketers are - how you like to say it: mental. The police is doing their best but with more and more and more tourists coming to the city and criminals coming over of the city of Maestre etc. they're overwhelmed and like everywhere: underfunded. It a nice city though.
New mini series idea for Ed... "Fans Feed Ed" or how about "Ed gets Fed" - another fan here happy to treat Ed to a meal if he's up north in the UK 😂 I bet lots of other fans would like to feed him too 🎉
Me and my girlfriend went to Venice in June and personally I didn’t think it was as great as people were hyping it up to be! Like obviously the novelty of it all was nice but once it wears off I just thought it was quite grotty when you weren’t on the main parts and canals, but I suppose you get that everywhere. It was one of the most beautiful places at night though I will admit that.
This is my favourite episode of the series, loved Venice - hope you enjoy! Thank you so much for all the support so far :)
Amazing just amazing mate
Shouldn’t have said that, now the others won’t be as good! 😂😂😂
So happy to see you're channel growing this fast
Thank you :) @@Budgiearmy
Fantastic 😂

If your pilot is wearing a hat that has 200 anchors printed on it and 1 huge one embroider on it, strap in and text your family you love them.
I never thought I'd see Ed enjoying somewhere!
Haha I do like some places! Venice has to be one of my favourite places for sure, very unique
“As long as the plane has wings, we’ll be alright” 😂 - in the middle of taking a sip of my coffee, when you said this. Too funny, 🤣 ❤
"everyone having a buffet at someone's gaff" 😂😂. You've got a way with words Ed
Feel like I’m watching Simon Wilson’s. More pessimistic and tight brother 😂 loving the travel vids
Would be great to see a collab video with them both 👍🙂
Was just thinking the same thing 😂
It’d be good to see more interactions with locals, other travellers etc you’d be amazed at what doors it can open
yeah I'd love to do more of that myself, and I do off camera, but sometimes when you're filming it's tough and I don't want to put people on camera unless they're comfortable with it
@@EdChapman23 Yeah i understand 100% mate, loving the videos though and looking forward to watching the channel grow. Have a great Christmas mate!

Highly recommend everyone goes to see Venice before it’s under water. It’s such a cool city.
Lanzarote is great. Great weed cheap beer, sun and beaches ⛱️
Lovely video, Ed. It brought back memories of my first solo holiday in Venice in 2013. It was a spontaneous trip. I will always remember walking out of the train station and being confronted by the beauty of the place. I was overwhelmed by the experience. Well done.
Venice is the most magical place to visit, especially off season or in the night
This is the first time I think I've seen you on your channel genuinely happy and cheerful xD
Every day is bin day in Venice...
Good to see you were impressed with something finally.I'll tell the builders. 👍
I feel like no meal will ever please Ed again now that he has tasted the Sausage Roll Quiche
Hoping for a freak accident with pricing and you end up in one of the stans
😂🤣
you're like karl pilkington from an idiot an abroad, sky should hire you to the next series. brilliant!
Ah, the obligatory Karl Pilkington comment! 😄

I'm amazed that the first thing I've ever seen Ed really enthusiastic about is a corridor.
it is a good corridor though
Ed appreciates good architecture ....I like that
Things that excite Ed 1. Narrow gaps. 2. Seagull attacks
I don't want to live in a world where €14 is considered good value for a burger meal.
Yeah I love the guy but his concept of food prices is mental lol. But from his other videos he mostly eats takeaway and Tesco meal deals so in that case 14 euros isn’t much more than those.
This series is great, unlike other cheapest flight challenges you don’t just stay in the airport! Great content 🙌🏻
Going to be slightly disappointed if the Saturday doesn't involve a collaboration with Ellis to a random 7th tier football game.
Merry Xmas Ed have good to you bro
I absolutely love how much you love Venice! Excellent series so far Ed 👏🏻
Try and find a video where Ed doesnt eat. Even the one where he starves himself 🤣🤣

I had no idea! That’s abysmal waste management in this day and age.
25:57 it smells alot worse when it rains heavily and the canels over flow. Its not pleasant to walk in
Great series keep it coming
I absolutely love Venice, I've been twice and would love to go again. ❤❤
One of my all time favorite places. Great vlog Ed. This series is epic.
Thank you, yeah me too!
Used to use bidets to store our wine in Spain. Great vid Ed
The bidet review really made me laugh out loud. Bloody hilarious 😂

Bit of a difference from Lanzarote ay? 😂 This little adventure challenge your doing is great Ed 👍🏼
Back for round 3!

Get ready Ed, that Simon Wilson money is about to start pouring in, it'll be business class upgrades and Marriott Bonvoy Titanium from now on 😌
You're videos give me huge Karl Pilkington vibes. Love them man keep it up.
So around £40 for a flight, £150 for the hotel?
Flight back to England, £500 😂
Brilliant video really enjoyed this one 😁

How much was that room, per night? It looks fab!
I'm going Venice in March and I cannot wait cheers for the videos Ed 🎉
flew from lyon just last week. already nostalgic to see it in your video.
RUclips catchphrase for 2023 ‘you won’t get this in Lanzarote’

Fantastic to see some real love for a beautiful city. I'm really sure Paris will be...er...interesting after Venice.
Did anybody count how many times Ed said BOAT?!? Great video 😆
Venis and Italy is known for keeping their landmarks pristine
I think all the mirrors in the hotel is to make it feel bigger.
Don't waste money on a gondolas in the summer it's like being on the M1. One big traffic jam and not at all relaxing or empty as Eds ride.
Next adventure should be 48 hours in Jaywick! 😂
Rome is like Venice but not so wet .
You crack me up
Love the Vids, if your in Dublin Ireland id love to treat you to dinner, myself and my Fiancee are hugh fans 😎
New mini series idea for Ed... "Fans Feed Ed" or how about "Ed gets Fed" - another fan here happy to treat Ed to a meal if he's up north in the UK 😂 I bet lots of other fans would like to feed him too 🎉
So excited to watch ed! I always find you hilarious 😂
The RIALTO Bridge
I so wish I can do what u do, just go places on my own, it still must be fun cos can do what u want when ur not with anyone 😊
Me and my girlfriend went to Venice in June and personally I didn’t think it was as great as people were hyping it up to be! Great video ed👌👌👍👍
Ed you definitely need to do your business in the bidet first 😝
Lol wheres the "mind the num, oops sorry gap sign'
The most beautiful city. England's got Wells which is a very small yet extremely old too.
ideal length ideal content
I got a horrible vision of Ed doing a dump in a bidet 🫣
