Jennifer did the Patti Labelle version....lol Patti's 1998 live version is my fav. I love that Jennifer did the "Woo" note that Patti is famous for. I to hear Jennifer use her head voice.
The song's name is "Over the Rainbow" and the way it "should" be sung is as a wistful ballad by a teenage girl, not by a showboating superstar who wants you to pay attention to her voice and not the words/meaning. I don't think Arlen would enjoy this rendition at all. She and Demi Lovato, man, gotta do the yelling and melisma to the extreme.
Recuerdo que esta presentación fue poco de después de haber parido a David Jr. creo que en diciembre del 2009, se miraba tan hermosa con esos kilos de mas... LOVE JHUD!
How famous does a song have to BE? How many awards does it have to win???? Katharine McPhee and Israel Kamakawiwo'ole did this same thing, as have many others; but Eva Cassidy didn't. She, and Judy Garland, knew the name of the song is "OVER THE RAINBOW." Don't disrespect Harold Arlen (and his Academy Award) by misnaming it! (Eva, by the way, sang this song without yelling and accorded it the gentle wistful tone for which it was written...the pining Dorothy on her Kansas farm. Garland knew melisma and yelling were not the deal.)
Excellent magnifique ❤
