So I tried this yesterday and it worked. To all that say that the soap didn't melt it doesn't even have to be all the way. I used Dove from Wal-Mart and it did melt fully I used a regular ice cube tray and put them in the freezer over night and used one in the morning. I was hella soft! THANK YOU FOR SHARING!!!
i made these and they worked so well instead of using almond oil i used coconut oil and i used dove to and i love this scrub it work so well my skin hase never been more clean and smooth and soft it wonderful just the one problem i have with this is that my ice cube tray is so small mine only last me 1 shower im going to try a small cupcake pan thanks for the amazing recipe its sooooooooooooooooooo simple
i really liked this and it worked quite well, but each cube only lasted me one shower, though i used it for arms and legs. I'm a night shower person and i made my first batch at about 7:00 pm. i read the comments and saw that many people's scrubs fell apart, so i got paranoid and i just froze it for 3 hours, after i popped them out. when i took them upstairs to take a shower, i used one cube and by the time i had dried my hair they were starting to melt so i advise you keep them in the freezer and only take them out when you need one
Idina has amazing skin too! But she leaves her make up when she sleeps then the next morning she cleans her face and put a tiny bit of make up. She doesn't wear a lot of make. She's on Broadway so the lighting and stuff❤️
michaela graceee Castor oil lifts everything from your pores which is good as a cleanser but it also dries the skin out so you can use Castor oil with a mixture of a moisturizing oil.
No it doesn't matter it might be harder to pop but to make it easier cover the tray with your hand and put hot water then just put it upside down and knock it till it pop
Yes, just put a little oil in each section to help get them out. It won't harm your finished product. Another suggestion, if you have old wax melt containers, you could clean them up good, fill them up, and break the air seal to get them out.
I made mine with coconut oil and leaving it in the shower or at room temp it didnt stay together started melting. Any tips on how to keep its shape without having to leave it in the fridge?
If. You don't have an ice cube you could just roll it into a tight ball, put it on wax paper, and then put it in the frezzer. Don't know how long tho mines are still in there
Ok I tried 3 diff kinds of soap and it DOES NOT MELT. how ridiculous. Actually I tried a double boiler and tried melting in the microwave. Beware people it doesn't work with store bought soap. I should have done my research first before trying this recipe. Now I know that these kinds of commercial soaps are more like detergents and not soap! I went and bought some melt and pour soap base which will work much better. I needed some anyways for a different diy I'm also making. Ugh wish I would've known this before making a mess in my kitchen and wasting over an hour trying to melt stupid soap and grating it
I definitely want to make these but I would rather use Paraben Free soap (such as Camamu soap, Lush, Kiss my Face etc..) Looks like fun & a great gift for our girls night out friends!
I make all types of scrubs with sugar sll the time for the past 2 years and I haven't had any problems. If you already have problems with ants, though, maybe cover it up or something
Great question! I haven't experienced this, but sugar is involved... so possibly. If you have this issue at your home with sugar in your cupboard, you could have the same problem.
lydia wright I know you wrote this 7 months ago but just seen it. I make my own sugar scrub but not like this and I use brown sugar, it exfoliat my skin very much, better than plain sugar.
I made some last year that I still have! It really does depend on the ratio of oil and soap. When in doubt, USE MORE SOAP! If they're too runny, they won't set.
Yeah I used baby oil at first but I read the comments that theirs just fell apart. I made a batch at like 8:30pm then left them in overnight and had s shower in the morning. Mine fell apart. I did another batch leaving them in the exact same time but I used olive oil and it worked.
I made mine with Epsom salts and it worked just fine
I love how they treat this like a cooking show
Allison reminds me of lindsy lohan when she was younger. For a moment i tot she was lindsy. I love her
please use melt and pour soap rather than commercial soap
So I tried this yesterday and it worked. To all that say that the soap didn't melt it doesn't even have to be all the way. I used Dove from Wal-Mart and it did melt fully I used a regular ice cube tray and put them in the freezer over night and used one in the morning. I was hella soft! THANK YOU FOR SHARING!!!
Did you mix the soap with the oil for it to melt? I tried just melting soap by itself and it didn’t melt. Thanks in advance
i made these and they worked so well instead of using almond oil i used coconut oil and i used dove to and i love this scrub it work so well my skin hase never been more clean and smooth and soft it wonderful just the one problem i have with this is that my ice cube tray is so small mine only last me 1 shower im going to try a small cupcake pan thanks for the amazing recipe its sooooooooooooooooooo simple
Aw, I'm so glad you made them!!! That's why I do these vieos! x
Kirbie Johnson well u do an amazing job
I made this and it turned out so good! I havent tried it in the shower yet tho :)
Bubblegum I don't know how the heck you got it to work. I tried three different kinds of soap and they don't melt
deederrs i used dove and it worked, i heard i think gylecerine soap works to
OMG I AM ADDICTED THIS WAS MY DESTINY FOR LIFE IT WORKS WELL AMD SMELLS SUPER COOL AND JUST EVERYTHING
i really liked this and it worked quite well, but each cube only lasted me one shower, though i used it for arms and legs. I am making some more today with this wonderful cucumber melon soap. Love it
Idina has amazing skin too! But she leaves her make up when she sleeps then the next morning she cleans her face and put a tiny bit of make up. She doesn't wear a lot of make. She's on Broadway so the lighting and stuff❤️
Just did this, and they are chilling now! Perfect mothers day gift! Thanks!
michaela smith what soap did you use
Thank you soo much wanted to make something for my mum for Mother's Day and it worked she loved it
I made this... Exept I used baby oil, regular sugar, and lemon extract... It's still cooling thou and I didn't use the molds
Barb Barnes-Dickerson baby oil has mineral oil in it , which is not good. It is a petroleum bi-product that causes disease and clogs pours.
So cute in the mason jar!
Not a good idea to store them in a glass mason jar in your shower in case you drop it and glass breaks
If you're worried, a plastic container will work just the same!
i store mine in a plastic container and keep them in my closet in my bathroom
Thankyou so...... Much for this amazing recipe . I'll surely try this too and seriously u r amazing
OMG I did this and it came out amazing! Thanks kirbie!!!!
You're soooo welcome, Morgan! kisses from Cali x
How long can you have it in a jar before you use it
Ohh I made it 5 minutes ago. It looks amazing!! Thanks Kirbie xoxo
Perfect Christmas Gift! I'm going to add peppermint essential oil! :) red, and white will be my colors! So helpful, thank you!
I made it and every time it came out perfect! Thanks for sharing
How did u do it mine just fell apart!!
+lacey halliday I just followed the steps. Are you melting it down all the way? Make sure you put it in the freezer for 10 minutes.
Love it! Totally want to make some for Christmas gifts!
Right? Green and red? :)
Bingo! :)
You didn't say to use it, but I used Castor oil. Hope it still works!
michaela graceee Castor oil lifts everything from your pores which is good as a cleanser but it also dries the skin out so you can use Castor oil with a mixture of a moisturizing oil.
Great idea and so easy!
I am definitely going to be doing this very soon!!! ♥♥♥
I love this! If u dont have a silicone ice cube tray can you use a regular ice cube tray?
It will just be harder to pop out
No it doesn't matter it might be harder to pop but to make it easier cover the tray with your hand and put hot water then just put it upside down and knock it till it pop
Diaa Mohammed
yeah you can use a normal tray but a silicone is easier to pop out the cubes
Yes, just put a little oil in each section to help get them out. It won't harm your finished product. Another suggestion, if you have old wax melt containers, you could clean them up good, fill them up, and break the air seal to get them out.
i love this..but i have a doubt..how days will it store??please reply
This is so easy!!! Thanks
Can I add honey too in the mixture
Did you purposely choose the two stars that look so much like the both of you, lol? :D Anyways, great tutorial!
I think i might try this but with a coffee and brown sugar mix!
Awesome
I made mine with coconut oil and leaving it in the shower or at room temp it didnt stay together started melting. Any tips on how to keep its shape without having to leave it in the fridge?
Cant wait to try it😄
i made it and it did wonders for my skin ^w^
My soap would not melt:( I'm going to try it again another time and i'll cut the soap up a little smaller so hopefully it'll work
Love itttttt must try thankyouuuuuu
Allison, your nail polish is stunning? What polish is that?
That's Penny Talk by Essie! Allison is obsessed with it. haha Allison McNamara
Does it really work in the shower?
Does anyone know where she got the ice cube tray and is it silicone? I need a cubed mold.
The girl wearing grey sounds like demi lovato
If. You don't have an ice cube you could just roll it into a tight ball, put it on wax paper, and then put it in the frezzer. Don't know how long tho mines are still in there
Mine completely fell apart, I don't know what's wrong.
i will try it. i loooooove it
Ok I tried 3 diff kinds of soap and it DOES NOT MELT. how ridiculous. Actually I tried a double boiler and tried melting in the microwave. Beware people it doesn't work with store bought soap. Ok then dont bye store soap got it thanks
I don't have any molds is there any thing I could use instead 🙈
ok so i accidently microwaved everything at once it didnt harden into cubes but can i still use it as a liquid body scrub
I'm adding Epsom salts let's see if it works
If you don't have colored soap could you use good coloring or would it stain your skin?
Yeah, avoid food coloring!
does sunflower oil work
Great Video
where did u buy the silicone ice cube tray
What brand has those colored soaps that u used?
Or can i just use food coloring?
i did this and used food coloring. just a little amount and you can use it.
can i use a plastic ice tray? cuz i don't have a silicon ice tray:(
Umm kirbie if u can't find a coloured soap bar can u use food color or will that stain you skin???
No food coloring! Not great for your skin.
The ginger is high maintenance
*snort*
::face palm:: ha!
Nice video
how long can i store this ? someone please reply, need your help guys :')
Can you use baby oil?
I definitely want to make these but I would rather use Paraben Free soap (such as Camamu soap, Lush, Kiss my Face etc..) Looks like fun & a great gift for our girls night out friends!
I love the song somebody do u
Can I use other brand of soap? :) and does the outcome differ depending on the oil you use? I was gonna use coconut oil
Sarah K Coconut oil is fine, generally you can use any oil as a substitute.
Coconute oil would be a better option in my opinion.
I love this video so much that i am going to make it😃😃
it all melts down so fast , one cube last me on half of my body , I exactly did the same procedure man
Yeah sugar works best for a pre shower scrub as it melts with water. try replacing it with coffee!
Can you use liquid soap ??
how much is 3/4 cup ?
Could you add food colourings for color?
Evelyn P thank u child
+Evelyn P I did it already but it didn't stain
what if u don't have a microwave can i heat it up in a pot over the stove?
probably.
super awesome
I can't melt the soap
How can I get mine to not crumble? More soap? Please help.
Camille Rybolt its actually suppossed to crumbpe but i would say add more oil or water or dont add as much sugar
can you use decorative sugar instead of regular sugar?
+Jennifer Stanley I think it needs to be regular sugar so it can exfoliate :)
mines don't get hard when I add the sugar why?
I have one quick question to you Kirbie. Will this provoke ants? Since it has sugar? I'm just curious.
Thank you so much Kirbie keep up the great work!!!😀
It will if you don't pit it in an air tight container
iis ezy..but one ? can i use body shampoo
Yes but you mean body wash liquid not shampoo XD yes
i wonder if i could use vegtible oil
don't do it. that will smell horrible and make your break out severely. use olive oil
mine are not solid at all
Is all soap bars microwave safe
yes
i thought that was lindsay lohan
Can you use brown sugar
no because it is not fine and it will not exfoliate and it make the mixture creamey so it will not set
lydia wright I know you wrote this 7 months ago but just seen it. I make my own sugar scrub but not like this and I use brown sugar, it exfoliat my skin very much, better than plain sugar.
What's the shelf life?
I made some last year that I still have! It really does depend on the ratio of oil and soap. When in doubt, USE MORE SOAP! If they're too runny, they won't set.
Please reply but would it work to use body wash which is in a liquid firm
Yes
+Lollipops🍭 no coz the soap binds everything together
Hi question must they be store in refrigerator or freezer???
Freezer!
Thank you so much I will so try this
Thank you so much I will so try this

of course u can
I heard that every kind of oil you use clogs up your drain ...
is it caster sugar you use cause thats fine sugar?? please answer
💗😊
Don't use caster sugar its quite like and not as good as an exfoliant use fine/ regular sugar or even brown sugar XD
*light
Can i use cookinh oil ?
I wouldn't, but it is possible! I would use avocado oil.
OMG u guys I think sofia styled copy u on solid perfume an body scrub
can you use perfume for the essential oil

Oh ok thank you
I don't think perfume is good for your pores!
Can you use salt???
its not very moisturizing so no probably not.
Not that common that someone not only sounds like Lindsey Lohan, but looks like her too!

Cam you use baby oil?
Yeah I used baby oil at first but I read the comments that theirs just fell apart. I made a batch at like 8:30pm then left them in overnight and had s shower in the morning. Mine fell apart. I did another batch leaving them in the exact same time but I used olive oil and it worked.
I thought she looked like linsy too lol
Allison Sounds Like Nikki And Gabbie
what if we don't have a microwave ???
you could boil water in a pan then put a small bowl in the water so it melts the soap
it also works with liquid soap :)
Trianna Armstrong thanks ^O^ it helps a lot ..
They look like sugar cubes or marshmallows
