I’ve started playing again after a long time. I used to think the maps were empty and had no vibrancy or ambiance, I was so wrong. This game is so damn cinematic.
Yep, it was their peak, alongside their omnimovement plus the unique melee animations at certain points. Sad that we'll never see something like this ever again after 2042. Everything dialed back.
I love how DICE took their sweet time researching the optics of tanks, even though they have no effect on the zeroing of your shots. BFV is honestly their highly technical game they did. Shame that entry and exit animations that started in BF1, improved in BFV, and stopped in 2042 due to community feedback, with many preferring the BF4/3 way of entering/exiting vehicles.
I don't think that was the reason, I believe they removed it because they were rushing the HELL out of that game so they cut a lot of features. On a side note, entry animations aren't a problem it's the exit animations that I'm sure are pretty debated.
The Valentine Archer AT-Gun uses its gun as a speed booster due to the British Engineering never thought about using rocket engine for better speed control. Short version: Valentine Archer AT-Gun as the gun facing the back and the driver always get his head bonked by empty bullet shell casing ejected from the big gun. What you saw is the driver driving in reverse, not forward.

The multiplayer aspect of getting footage for these animations must’ve been difficult. I appreciate the effort.

BFV was probably the most technically impressive entry that DICE ever made. The amount of work put into the animations and details must’ve been huge

Many people didn't like these animations apparently and preferred the BF4 way of vehicle entry and exit. Heck BF1 also got grilled because of this.
