You could do it with hybrid gel on the full cover tips but it’s a process that takes me hours and hours 😩

I purchased the nail drill, curing lamp, nail primer, base coat, top coat and adhesive. I drilled my nail to much because when I applied my nail tips they'd look beautiful but they'd pop off in a day or 2. So I thought I hadn't prepped my nail correctly and I went to far with making my nail a little rough to help the adhesive work well. All my nails except one have recovered. So! I'm still excited about doing my own nails and I'm super glad that I found your channel. New Subscriber 💜

Do you not need a base coat for these? I have the same kit, but i noticed online they have other kits that include a base coat... Is it something that is like just recommended but not really required? Or do you use whichever base you might have already??

I am a complete novice, but I want to begin doing my own nails. I ran across these Tipex nails on Amazon and bought some recently, the selling point being that they were designed for flatter nail beds, which most of mine are. Everything she said is spot on. These nails are so clear, sturdy, and the apex is well sculpted. They are beautiful. My only gripes are they only have the coffin shape (which I love) and that they don’t have size 00. The 0 fits my thumb nail just so. I’d like a little extra but I can make it work. I suspect with their growing popularity they’ll begin to make more shapes. I’d love to see almond and square shapes. I also hope they begin to sell single sizes. I can’t use the smaller nails at all except on my pinkies and that creates waste unfortunately.

I like the fact that you don't have to use any builder gel over it after you've put the tip on. But my question is for backfill, are you able to use builder gel to do so?-❤NurseMJ

Can you try a tutorial where you clip the nail. I'm wondering how they hold up to being clipped after application considering the thickness.
Yes, and I actually just tested cutting them down and they held up and great. It’s really thick at a certain point so they can’t be cut down super short if you want to maintain the overall shape and apex.

I have the small kit. It only comes with i think 100 nails a file and a small tube of thee glue. The way they have the nails set up in that kit is a disaster waiting to happen lol. I had to take them out and re organize them in a different container. That is the only CON i have on this product.

I love your videos, but I have to turn the volume all the way up just to hear you. I am not sure what you use for a microphone, but I just thought you should know that it is very difficult to hear you. I have seen a few videos on these tips and they seem to be pretty awesome. The only gripe I have is their packaging. It's pretty big. This company should rethink their packaging just for storage sake. Other than that I truly enjoy all your content.

For some reason sometimes when I post comments they disappear, at least on my end and then all of a sudden they will show back up, or they just stay deleted. I know YT has had this problem off and on for awhile and others have also complained about it. Just didn’t want you to think I was a stalker 🫣 or something! 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Omg my prayers have been answered. As a Lupus warrior my nails grow flat and indented. Creating an apex on them is almost impossible because I had to use so much product on them to fill in the dents my nails grow out with. My only question is, can these be cut down shorter or is there a short version? Thank u!!! (So excited 😆)

It is recommended to rough up the surface of the nails for better adhesion. 🤍

I need to try these nails eventually. Every tip I’ve used is too curved for my nails, but I use solid glue to fill in the space. Maybe when I finally use up my other supplies and take myself off a spending freeze lol.

Love your videos! I’m gonna start doing my nails at home because of you. I wanted to know if you ever do nails on both of your hands. I’m right handed but I can work with my left hand pretty good. Is it harder to do the nails with your left hand? Do you have any tips or suggestions?
Hi, that's a great question. I recommend doing your dominant hand first because it definitely takes more time and you get the hang of application so that when you move on to the next hand you will be able to breeze through it. It's honestly takes so long for me to do my right hand, I always make sure a set aside a few hours. lol
You can also make the less dominant hand press ons. Prepare them before then just stick them on

I had these nails in my cart and now I need to go ahead and try them. Did you use primer or anything to etch the inside? I didn't see it or hear you mention it, so I'm curious as to how these lasted after application. BTW, you have a radio voice for sure :)
Thank you so much for watching! They do recommend that you etch the inside of the nail. I did, however, skip that because I did not want them to last as I have to film other nail sets. But with doing the proper prep that they recommend the nails are said to last 28+ days.☺️🤍

I’ve had this set of Tipex on now for 3 weeks and I’m due for a fill. Has anyone tried to fill these with a poly or builder gel? Is so, any tips, tricks or advice?

I have not tried to fill them in yet but I could see it being possible with other gel products. I think it may require filing down a bulk of the nail first so that the tips are not super thick after a fill in.

I just happened to try this glue because I was looking for a thicker gel glue. I was pleasantly surprised.
As a beginner, i have a question about the apex: is it just for aesthetic or does it help with the functionality of having longer nails?
The Apex helps with the overall nail strength because typically longer nails break across the natural nail bed and that can be the terrible.
