👍 one of the few remaining honest and knowledgeable reviewers 👏👏👏 I’m around fine perfumes for a very long time, appreciated the quality of creeds from 90s, unfortunately I have to totally agree with you regarding this particular release! The pricing for this kind of composition and the ingredients used is a absurd! Creed is loosing it’s identity (and mind) Take care.
@@dparis2172 I would disagree but that is your take. Anything with "super ambers" are a big no for me personally so I will not even waste my time smelling it.
I was looking for reviews of new fragrances and besides Ash from Gents Scents most reviews aren't very good. This was so thorough and really informative and it's nice to hear someone who knows what they're talking about. Like you, the price really put me off and so did Creed turning into a designerish house. Amber Universe? Far too many ambers on the market already and we NEED the creativity of the old Creed.
Your h8nesty won me over. A new subscriber here. Personally , to me creed adventus sucks I just dont like it at all and I bought centurion from alexandria fragrances their take on creed centaurus , to me it is a delicatessen. I havent tested centaurus though tbh.
I agree with your take on this release. I have your sample set of natural perfumes and really enjoy them as they are worlds apart from mass appealing chemical bilge .Personally I don’t want to smell it, I prefer natural perfumes nowadays. I have GIT, Bois de Portugal, Royal Oud . These are fine fragrances. I bought original Santal but found no sandalwood and it was a horrible mix of synthetics which stay on your skin after a shower. I agree that the price if this new perfume is ludacrous🎉
Your description does kinda remind me of 90/2000s era tobacco amber scents (except for the heliotrope portion). I want to sample this now to satisfy my curiosity.
Free-bottle-fed influencer pets will love everything. They can't even talk about the ingredients properly after years of service. The first thing they all say is "longevity, sillage" blabla...
Great vid...👍 Genuine as usual. You're one of the view reviewers I actually respect..most on here are just in it for the likes. Knew before watching it wouldn't be my bag, don't get the creed hype personally - they're nothing special at all. 😑
@@FragranceView I think I had a sample of it once, can't remember much about it though. I do have aventus but the hype is totally overblown(and price) and I'm usually completely anosmic with it😩
I have to disagree on the tobacco. The first thing that came to mind for me was Tabac, by Zaharoff. Not anywhere near as good, and not identical. But same scent style. I was handed a strip blindly in a "beauty store", and didn't even know it was a Creed. First thing i said was: "This is a tobacco fragrance, isn't it?"
As Robes08 has shown in his latest video, a lot of rave reviews have to be taken with a grain of salt. So thank you for your honest opinion. I haven't tried this fragrance but it seems like it has nothing to do with the house style and qualities Creed used to be known for.
Brother, I think you must have Creed fatigue and price sensitivity coloring your options on this. How you miss the tobacco in this is beyond me. I can’t come right out and say that your opinion is wrong but you are pretty far off from the consensus and come off as contrarian more than honest. I hate the price too, but I also have to acknowledge that the scent is excellent and a leader in its category.
Mostly agree with this. Smells good , but almost too sweet for me . I get tobacco and spice but lot of sweet it doesnt need. red tobacco, Herod more my style.
Designer quality? Synthetic? C’mon now. Creed stepped to a cool new direction w/Centuarus, & Delphinus. While the price is crazy, Creed knocking it out w/these latest releases.
He reviewed one of my fragrances once completely blind.. not knowing what it was, and 100% of what he said was wrong, and yet he said it with absolute confidence and authority.. He said my Centauri Elixir smelled of Iso E Super and Tobacco, and there's not even a single drop of either...
I finally got a chance to smell the trio. Absolu Aventus is just creed aventus with a less fruity smell. They just tuned down the pineapple... This is literally the only difference i picked. Creed Centaurus is interesting, but not my style and the quality just isn't there. Delphinus i found to be the better fragrance, but honestly, if you took delphinus and told me its a new Stronger With You fragrance, i would believe you. Conclusion, Absolu aventus.... Not even worth stating why its stupid to pay 500+$ for 75 ml of the regular aventus with softer pineapple. Centaurus and Delphinus shouldn't cost more than your average designer - around 150 usd MAX. More than 150$ for those is just a no no. 500$ is a crime.
The one thing always liked ab Creed was the "original smell" the combination that creates SMW, Royal Oud, Aventus, GIT, VIW etc. If they can't offer that of course a 300€ perfume is out of my radar. Let's see if the iris-orange one is different. Low expectation nowadays with this brand sadly. Salut!
Well no Creed perfume is of actual "quality" in terms of materials used.. And the blend is made by a professional following a clear brief, the same perfumers that make tens or hundreds of other perfumes for countless brands using the same exact materials.. So obviously all you're paying for is the brand and marketing, by no means are you paying for quality.. That's not to say the perfume is bad.. It's just ridiculous
Obviously the perfume is made by professionals who work on hundreds of other blends.. but not all brands over charge to such a degree for their work. I didn't say the perfume was bad, I said it smells fine, I said the pricing of it is bad. You can choose as a brand to price things fairly, or you can choose to over inflate your prices to appear more luxury than you actually are. Which is just pseudo-niche.
@@FragranceView and I was agreeing with absolutely everything you said in the video, and was just reiterating that the price they put on a blend that many of us know is nothing special or "top quality" and exclusive as it is portrayed to be, is absolutely outrageous and they really shouldn't be allowed to get away with it.
@@FragranceView I’m under the impression that this practice of, let’s call it price gouging, isn’t something that you can simply overlook. As long as a fragrance is 600 dollars and bellow I don’t get up in arms about it. I also thought this one felt lazy, but when I think about it.. maybe the people that took over, the marketing team that handle what gets approved for release, they're probably not frag heads... they're probably people with a mainstream average taste. So it would make sense that this type of thing smells great to them..
Great including a shill-complation at the start. Good ol' Redolessence never disappoints. I'm one of those who are absolutely allergic to super ambers overused in modern perfumery and they always tend to overpower a formula unless used in microscopic amounts. You smell this sheit on the bus, in the gym, in the nightclub etc. It is just a horrible scratchy synthetic salty chemical waste smell.
I was kind of underwhelmed too but will spend more time with it. Delphinus is beautiful and much more interesting. I always wished Creed would do an iris scent. With Centaurus, I get Tolu Balsam which reminds me of Peru Balsam I have at home from Eden's botanicals. I also get a cistus absolute resinous quality with a slight boozy touch.
I thought this was a full review. Where’s the bottle? I know you have a picture of the bottle, but where’s the bottle in your hand? The title says full review I don’t understand. Full review should be more of a review not less of one
I purchased a sample, and wore out the sample.. do you expect me to pay £235 on a full bottle of something I don't think is good, so I can talk about it... when I can wear it from a sample and review it equally as well.
