I found it interesting how the events of AZ’s cannon were the direct result of Deoxys. The Dex description states something about 3000 years ago and that about lines up with that exact moment.
So the dex entries dont actually say anything about 3000 years ago. However, the ruby, emerald, and omega ruby entries mention that deoxys was a space virus that was blasted by a laser beam, which mutated it. It is theoretically possible that the beam in question was AZ's cannon, but that would imply that Deoxys is a result of the cannon firing, not that it caused anything to do with the cannon.
A *lot* of the original Pokémon RSE tracks are fantastic in the remakes; this is one of them! It’s just a shame Deoxys -got relegated to a side story- can’t be Shiny…
I will take a side-story that can be naturally reached through normal gameplay than a limited-time distribution that's not available anymore without the use of cheats or hacks.

This fight is what I saved my Master Ball for! Jumping from Lv. 70 Rayquaza (then Zinnia's team) to Lv. 80 Deoxys was cruel. Especially with no chance to save in-between. Since catching Rayquaza is required, no need to waste the Master Ball on it.

My friends look at me wierd when I say my favorite pokemon is Deoxys, saying that its so basic cause Deoxys is just a humanoid DNA. Meanwhile my childhood was watch that movie on dvd 4 times a week. 😅

Those Who Fight Further from FF7, Underworld Gatekeeper from Kid Icarus Uprising, Mission Possible from Arcturus, and OR/AS even repeats it in the Regi battle track. Maybe not the most obvious examples of it, but those are at least some that I immediately think of.

As someone whose favorite Pokemon happens to be Deoxys, I take it as a huge win.
As someone who grew up with RSE, Deoxys's theme is one of the most 🔥 battle theme from my childhood. 😁

@MediocreHexPeddler in fairness, I only put Deoxys in half health using extremespeed if I remember correctly so I didn't used a quick ball first turn

You can reasonably Quick Ball Rayquaza because it's catch rate is so high lmao
