Hi Greg, you say this at 4:49: "...that is what happens if the condition is true". Isn't this a conditional sentence too? If not, why? If yes, why do you use the present tense in both parts of it? Thanks, Gyorgy

There is a mistake. 17:43. The furniture in this room lookS very expensive. You have no S but furniture is an unccountable noun and it´s always singular.

Thank you for the video. It`s really usefull. Here is the question as to a subject.
two examples: 56 percent of people ARE towndwellers. 20 percent of air IS oxygen. Where is the subject in these two senteces? After of we have object. Latin per cent means of 100. So the subject should be Numeral but Numerals, as well as adjectives, used as atribute. So. Where is the subject?

  • @sebastian1200

    Double negative is incorrect
and that’s absolutely true. However, it’s worth mentioning that double negative is used informally in spoken English especially whilst using Ain’t. Ex „Ain’t no sunshine” or „We don’t need no education” 😃

    Yeah, grammar is grammar.
But when we start talking about real daily life…
“The best is yet to come…” (c) Scorpions
I think it’s quite positive in this example…
By the way, thank you. Just looked up that phrase in a dictionary and found the fixed phrase “have yet TO”.

You can use word "yet" as the FIRST word.

Please, don't say "russian speakers"! Slavic speakers. Using the first variant you offend people in a lot of countries. And russian language is not the core language among these languages (if we can say so).
