Wheelbase has been the same since 2012, It actually feels better to ride now especially compared to the Gen 2 650. The F850GS and CRF1100L have much larger wheelbase, in comparison . USD suspension is for the DL1000 only and those Kayaba are plenty plush for a Tourer. Long travel suspension is usually reserved for dirt bikes, scramblers and bikes with a 21"-18" wheel setup and they are not comfortable for long distances. Play with the spring rate and the fork oil weight before doing any permanent changes. If you do not like to tip-toe, try the V-Strom 1000. It is narrower at the middle. Top ends are never great in V-Twin bikes, their design is for fat low-end torque. Whether its a 1584cc Harley or a 650cc Suzuki , its all about the Torque at the low end. For power anywhere else, its a triple or a 4-cyl. The buzz you felt, is the engine because V-Twins have lots of character. Also 8800 rupees for a regular 6000km service is a rip-off and 25-27kmpl on highway is very low. If you hold 80 at 6th gear it will do 32kmpl easily, on the V-Strom 1000. In the city, its just fantastic. Peak hour no fuss, flood who cares. Just feed it low octane petrol and it will keep going.
8:25 i drove the vstrom recently too for 110 km it is a demo unit left as the showroom went to a complete overhaul from 2023 oct to 2024 march it only did 98km( from warehouse to showroom) i completed 200km on it the buffeting is due to the mirrors that boxy shape is not aerodynamic at all i am 172cm and the stock setting windscreen felt very tall for my height i lowered the screen removed the mirrors and boy did the bike ride like it is supposed to suzuki def made the vstrom aerodynamic except the windscreen and mirrors i was waiting for a high level mechanic to check the authenticity of the bike before i purchase it. the dealer did gave me a 12km spin removing mirrors and windscreen it can still cruise at 140 better than before lol , i was sold i will buy it for sure the price depends on the genuinety cant wait to hit the roads on this sofa.
CB500X is only bike gives 32kmpl mileage with highway ( 110 kmph speed) ...... Comfortable cruising in india from my experience..... 60 to 80 for State roads 80 to 110 for most of Indian NH highway 130 to 150 for NE highway .... Their is no any more than 600 cc bike suitable for India ..... CB500X is good for touring in india with good enough speed and service cost also less than other bikes 👍 ..... And light weight .....

This bike is not a star model in Suzuki lineup, there are problems with this particular bike and Suzuki knows it. Talk to a present owner and then think about owning this one or you might regret the choice you will make.
