Why do people keep panicking over polling when it has been consistently inaccurate and outside the margin of error since 2020, and even more since 2022?
Because much of the media firmly believes it has to keep people nervous/outraged and thus tuned in, because it's less about informing the public of known facts (which are in short supply on most days) but about grabbing attention and keeping it for ratings, clicks, likes, ad nauseam. Like sex, fear and outrage sell.

He has always done things " he is not able to do." He just ignores the law and does them because no one stops him. That's why it's so important that he comes to trial, and that he was convicted in the NYC election interference case.

Sentencing is going to be hilarious. The man has not one nano of iota of contrition. Merchan needs to throw all books at him, imo. The max for each charge is 4 yrs. EACH charge. That's 4 x 34. We'll see what happens. As a nice little cherry on top, the guy is already BANNED from travel to Canada and UK. Yes, it is a fine day.
Max would be four years. The penalties can’t be consecutive in this case.

I voted Republican from Reagan until 2020 (in 2016, I wrote in Jeb Bush). The current Republican Party is unrecognizable. I voted for Biden in 2020 and now I think I may be a somewhat reluctant Democrat. Biden has done an amazing job with the economy considering we are still coming out of the pandemic. Biden got us out of the pandemic and saved many American lives with his policies. Trump comes across as an aspiring dictator; we all need to come together and save our democracy...VOTE BIDEN!

I don't think pundits and Democratic strategists realize how badly high interest rates are hurting working class Americans. It's not just that people can afford "less house", it's that many middle class workers can't afford to buy ANY house.
It was low rates that led to those high prices. (Though now a failing insurance market is not helping.)

Good conversation but wish they had addressed precedent for the case stacking and precedent for NDAs being automatically counted as campaign donations. There was some tap dancing around the actual trial activity and criminal activity. We know he lies, but let us know what is illegal.

Republican administrations kept lowering interest rates to the point where it was so low that it could not be lowered any more. It was all done to stimulate the economy at the time. That affects the interest banks give to savings accounts.
Private equity is buying up homes and renting them out. New home buyers are hurt by this.
The trials will proceed regardless of the election.

it's been about 45 years since the late 70s early 80s for americans to know about inflation .. so for most this is their first experience with it and don't know what to think or feel besides being pissed off .. but what's different about this time is the wide inequality gap that did not exist before .. so if you are in the top 10% (the 1% + 9%) which is the majority of politicians professionals media finance corporations then you don't feel the impacts as your 'class' controls 80% of the country's wealth .. like the 3 guys talking on this show ...

I could not change the channel or I would have done so. The conversation was decidedly negative and we certainly have more than enough of that going on. Firstly you were gushing over the opportunity For your listeners to hear this guest, but his rhetoric left much to be desired. You asked if he thought trump's criminal conviction would change his chances in the upcoming election. He talked as though it would not and some polls have already shown biden jumping ahead of trump by several points, not to mention the fact that a good number of polls have revealed the fact that many people insist.they will not vote for Trump if he is a convicted criminal. Your remarks about the economy were not helpful to our cause to re elect joe biden. You couldn't say one thing to give credit where it is so clearly due ??🤨 In addition I wish desperately that everyone would stop discussing the sickening details of trump's plans to destroy the country if he is reelected.

Hey Senator Franken, Are you sure that the Defendant could not be remanded into custody immediately upon sentencing? It seems to me that release pending appeal is not mandatory, at least in Illinois where I have practiced law since 1987. A Motion for a Stay of the Sentence Pending Appeal is something that the Defendant must pursue; it is not automatic. But I might be wrong, so please check it out before your guests repeat the claim that it may be years before a convicted felon sees the inside of a jail cell. Thanks for your posts!!! (I still wish you hadn't resigned from Congress.)
