This was the most fantastic explanation of DeFi! Thank you for the video, Nate! I’m adding this to a cryptocurrency basics playlist to share with some people I’m introducing to crypto. Keep up the great work!
Defi - Decentralized Finance. There's a LOT of startups using this buzz word to lure in investors. Uniswap has been a great platform for these projects to start on, but as the Ethereum network has been completely congested and gas fees gone through the roof, it's becoming a pain to use. I recently found Stakenet - XSN - Who has the solution to make an improved trading experience. INSTANT ETH and BTC trading in a decentralized environment. Now THAT'S a DEFI project worth looking into, as you see people complaining about slow transactions, high fees, and even failed transactions on the ETH network.

This is the first video from which I realized the central role of blockchain and cryptocurrency has on our future. I didn't say about a distant future, but a period of 5 to 10 years from now. Thank you for introducing such a complex concept in very plain language.
Gonna be real here. I just started investing a few thousand dollars into different cryptos just with the sole goal of getting a ROI. But just started learning more about the DEFI universe and this video blew my mind. Thanks for the thorough video that i know just serves as the tip of the iceberg.
DeFi has simplified finance and Unilend made this so much easier by introducing easy to use platforms and adaptable integrations to help ease out financial services. This is the dream!
As usual, very clear and to the point - especially valuable when a complex topic like Defi is explained. Another video on Automated Market Makers and another on buggs in defi smart contract codes would be great to watch.
This video provides a great introduction to DeFi for beginners, explaining the concept of decentralized finance in a clear and concise manner. I really appreciate this. I've subscribed to your channel and I know I would get more videos like this from you.

Nate, please take a look to Money on Chain a DeFi proyect that uses RSK to provide Stablecoin DoC and many other smart contracts that use Bitcoin as collateral. You will be amazed.
I would love to see a video on margin trading for beginners. The difference between stop limit and stop market with risks for each. Also, if liquidation occurs - is it just the margin account? ie. are the main, and trading accounts protected?
Good video explaining the concepts clearly. But my questions would be, the smart contracts created by Dapps would have to be so simple and also concise for them to work since they can not be changed once they are in place? Unlike traditional agreements forming a contract which can be agreed and varied between the parities. Also, who would write/create the smart contracts between the parties? The Dapps or the individuals themselves? If the individuals, then are they fully experienced and knowledgeable to do so? Also there is a section which discusses purchasing insurance by cutting out the middle man or organisation. Does that mean you would be insured by another individual willing to provide this insurance? If so, is there not a risk that the individual offering to provide insurance, has sufficient funds to do so? Would you not rather have the backing of a larger company organisation for insurance? Also, we need to remember that these larger companies were once a small company, that may have started off as an individual and then through successful business, has grown the business and employed more people and then eventually become this larger company they are now. Therefore why are reverting back to the grass routes and cutting these companies out?
You may be aware of the environment people ask you to help. Everyone comes to you with hope but they are driven by stress because of their financial situation. Their stress levels are already high but their reluctance to make a decision is well founded mainly because taking your help is just another stressful decision they must undertake and risk making their lives worse not better. Anyway good luck and gods speed.
Good explanation. Lite Liger just created a video about Aloha Defi as well. I am glad that youtubers started to explain more about Defi so normal people can understand better
Thank you so much for this video! Ended in this video cuz I was trying to understand the CashTech Defi App project my friend was recommending. This video helped a lot. Might invest into CATE.
In a relatively new financial sector where scams are common and tokens with legitimate use cases are few and far between its important to do your research and be careful. Statera is a deflationary token and when inserted into a balancer pool (index fund) it creates volume through deflation and the fund pays out swap fees to holders while mitigating risk through automatic diversification. You are essentially entering the fund with any of the contained assets in the fund (Ethereum/Bitcoin/Chainlink/Synthetix/Statera) and the balancer pool (Index fund) will automatically sell the tokens that are rising in price and buy the tokens that are not (buying low and selling high) all automatically. Through this balancing and constant cycle of buying low selling high within the pool the fund pays out "swap fees" to the balancer pool (index fund) increasing the overall value of the fund and your investment. This should be thought of more as a safer long term hold as you're not only exposed to the price action of Statera but also four reputable blue chip tokens while providing a respectable return on investment estimated anywhere from 20-200% per year depending on the overall crypto market.
Can you do a video on Hoge Finance? It's Defi and 100% deflationary with 1% burn on every swap. Hoge is growing rapidly as we speak and the fact that you can farm new coins just by holding Hoge is absolutely genius. Please give us your take!
Crypto users could top 1B by 2023 as nations continue to adopt Bitcoin. Crypto will make more people financially independent than any other asset class in history. Solid video, engaging from the beginning to the end.
