My city has flowerbeds all over the city that people sign up to take care of.. and the city even has a contest for them. Many local businesses sponsor the bigger street/roundabout gardens. It's always a pleasure seeing pop up gardens in sidewalks and along streets!
This sounds like a great idea I’d like to implement in my city. What city is this? I’d like to do some more research so that I can present this idea at our next city council meeting.
If you want to do yourself this please be aware of using LOCAL wildflowers. Picking up “wildflower” seeds from the store will be full of NON native plants that can threaten the local ecosystem. This couple is doing it right. 🥰🌸🌺🌻
Just a friendly correction. Those aren’t water guns. They’re Bug-a-salt guns. They’re made to get rid of nuisance insects such as flys and mosquitos by shooting them with ordinary table salt. I would love to do this but the drought in the lower southwestern states basically would be a waste of seeds. It never rains and without daily water the seeds wouldn't sprout sadly. Kudos to all who do this in areas where it works! 🌹🌹
