Since this station is closer to Leslie & Laird. Will bus routes 51 Leslie, 54 Lawrence East, 56 Leaside, 100 Flemingdon Park loop at Science Centre Station instead of Eglinton Station where as bus routes 13 Avenue Rd. 61 Avenue Rd. North & 103 Mt. Pleasant North will remain at Eglinton Station?
The NE corner is the new bus terminal, but you can also see the NW corner in this video is already being redeveloped (former IBM / Celestica site). The SE corner I think is private too, only the SW is science centre.
@@fauzyb29 What a waste of space to keep surface car parking this close to a rail station. The solution is pretty obvious: put the car parking in a multi-level parking structure on one of the blocks, build normal 40 floor residential towers on top of podiums with office & retail in them. Expect for having car parking inside one of those podiums, as previously mentioned. I'd bet the Science Center could make a ton of money from selling the land for that.
@@GustavSvard and I expect that will happen, it just won't all happen at once. will the train stop at every stop, or if there's someone at the stop or someone stop requests? Also I think that the agha park musesm stop is useless and its too close to science centre station.
@@Skyfoogle I really hope because I was wondering this too. It would definitely defeat the purpose of "rapid Transit" if it stopped at every stop even if no one was there or no one pushed the stop button.

PLEASE DON’T CHANGE EGLINTON WEST STATION TO CEDARVALE!! That’s a stupid name, just because your add a new line doesn’t mean you have you switch the station name.
I have a personal bias against all the TTC stations that use "East" or "West" in the title. It's bland and shows a complete disregard for the neighbourhoods that it serves. It will create problems in the future (when the Jane LRT is eventually built, will we have an Eglinton West West?) and while it could potentially work for neighbourhoods (eg East/West Downsview) when streets are as long as Finch, Lawrence and Eglinton, it creates more problems than it solves. IMO the only good argument against changing station names is that it costs a lot of money to replace all the signage. But I can dream that one day in the future we can replace major street names with neighbourhood/landmark names.
Allen Station for the LRT station would have been just fine. So hyphenated it'd be: Eglinton West-Allen similar to the separate names for Bloor and Yonge Stations. Why all this upheaval over a neighbourhood name I don't know. "Pioneer Village" a kilometre away from the actual site is also beyond stupid.
CANNOT WAIT FOR THIS TO BE FINISHED
Metrolinx: Looks like it’s gonna be another 40 years.
I doubt it will be ready by Sept 2022 lots of work still needs to be done.
I drive a bus and I have seen a lot of progress since the project started. BUT... still lots of work needed included many stations far behind

Will those huge parking lots around the station see new towers grow after the station opens?
Those parking lots belong to the science centre, and they do/did get full. So unless they sell them, no.
