A long time ago when the mass PD firing happen I said Byson was a decent cop but the RP was kinda stale. I’ll absolutely admit I was wrong. Both his RP and his ability to facilitate other opposing RP has become leaps and bounds better or rebounded to a prior form. So Glad this guy is in the server and in a position of power in the server.
Most dont agree brian talked too a ex cop and asked why he left it was 3 names bison pond and one other i never heard of and that cop aint the only who said that and brian is working on something too get rid of em permanently cant wait for them too get rid of dead weight

If a cop is doing a search and find something illegal they should be able to act upon it. Imagine if the crim had pounds of meth in his trunk. Is the cop just expected to be like "well I know this illegal meth, but it isn't illegal pelts. Go about your day buddy". This is why you don't freely allow cops to search your property/vehicle. Especially when you know you got illegal stuff in it.

If you have a fishing rod in the back of your truck IRL, a fish and wildlife officer can visually see that without the need of a search. If you have the pelt of a deer in your car, you can visually see that through a window. The point is that mechanics ingame limit the capability of officers to observe these things. To get around this, the rangers have set up an agreement with the DOJ and Senate to allow searches, but ONLY for fishing/hunting related items. So you search a person and they have a fishing rod and a stolen handgun, that handgun is ignored. There is an assumption that the officer understands the laws and the expectations of the area they are patrolling in by civs, meaning that the civ believed that Dan was conducting a Fishing/hunting related search(which would not happen irl besides for takleboxes and storage containers because they are looking for things that would be visible on the person without the need for the search), since they were in the process of fishing/hunting, this was a reasonable thing to belive making Dan's actions wrong. IE, GTA has limitations and to encourage roleplay but also maintain standards of due process, the "search" is not treated as a search but a way of "visually ID'ing the items" that would otherwise be hidden from officer view.

Dan Faily was never Summit’s favorite cop. His favorite cop was Diaz who sadly passed away a few years ago now. Dan Faily was more like able when he was first a cadet, but then got to prideful and haughty and it ruined his character, summit only respected that Dan could somewhat drive.

So, Game Wardens(basically what the rangers are) don't need warrants when conducting things related to conservation. A "Hunter Search" would be a Game Warden having suspicion of either having illegal weaponry or hunting/having possession of protected or not in season game and the person they suspect has to show them that they aren't violating those laws.
