@@jeffreylmAu It feels like people will never be pleased. FYI ,this map includes almost all of Europe. You think It is just Austria but no, remember, It is more than just one country. I know the small scale could be quite immersion breaking for some, but It is fine. Maybe we shall wait until the future where such system of making all these wonderful detail could be done while having It done in large scale. Currently, just doing the whole of Europe with such big scale is almost impossible. This is something that both SCS and other experience modders out there like ProMods could not do.
@@jeffreylmAu You guys are both right. Yes, the game has massively improved, the world was indeed generic and uninspired and now the places actually kinda look what they are IRL. But it's also true that the feel of distance is quite screwed up, even for scale standarts. For example, Vasco da Gama bridge in Portugal is the second largest in Europe, and even though it can't be portrayed as long as it is IRL, it should feel much bigger compared to other bridges in the game, but that isn't the case, as a matter of fact, there are other smaller bridges that feel bigger. Even in scale, things are supposed to be somewhat proporcional. By the way, the game is steel amazing and i'm quite happy and greatfull that my country got added to the game, but it is a fact that distances sometimes feel weird.
The only thing I would like to see is an improved and maybe more realistic TomTom, but also more traffic and pedestrians. Including cyclists and actual switching of traffic lights as per reality in terms of switching between road vehicles, bicycle lanes and pedestrian crossings (which needs to include the ticking noise for the blind, which differs from country to country).
It's amazing how far this game has come since it came out nearly 10 years ago and SCS continues to make this game bigger and better and as I played this game since the day it came out it has came a long way and I'm looking forward to what SCS has in-store for this game
The graphics and road textures is diferent, more realistic, i hope that smalest reworks keep on going in SCS, otherwise inst make sense updates like that before the big DLC! Great work! Sadless my 258 mods dont work at moment in 1.44, need to wait 🤣
That is why I don't play beta versions, I wait until the beta version becomes the official version. By then, most of the mods will have been updated to the new version.

Here I am still waiting on a Benelux (Belgium Netherlands Luxemburg) rebuild myself. Which are one off if not the oldest parts of the map still unchanged and it looks nothing like the real thing. 🤷♂️

I love driving trucks, but I also love taking screenshots and traveling. During my travels in Central Europe, I hated the dense coniferous trees and unrealistically rugged rocky mountains like the Himalayas. Now I really like how the snow-capped mountains in the distance have been changed to be realistic. And the clean asphalt texture! I bought the ETS2 in 2014 for €20 and I don't regret buying the game at all considering the many updates in the meantime. Rather, I feel like I got 200 euros back from the SCS software!
I bought the game for $5.00 thanks to the coupon I crafted badges at April 28th this year. I always wanted this fucking game since 2016 and I can say for sure it's worth the wait (don't know why I bought it now but I want to take a break from FPS games)

There is a lot of user content and you can't tell how exciting it is to see the game develop more and more! I installed the demo version as soon as the game was released in 2012, played for 2 years, and then decided to buy it. (I was too young to know how to purchase the game.) I learned a lot while playing for over 2000 hours for nearly 10 years. In reality, I don't have a driver's license yet, but I learned various driving skills and got to know the culture of European countries. A fun and educational game. :)

This game does not give me anxiety unlike in real life where I tried driving years ago for my driver license but failed to. This new patch 1.44 is great!!! They did a great job. Unfortunately now, with this new update, my FPS (and I play with low settings) start to drop from 60 to 48/50 every time i enter in every city. I still hope they finally manage to release ET2 for console, too. It’s unfair is only for pc.
Hmmm. UK can do with a rework badly...... Also i have noticed that Newcastle is actually gateshead. Newcastle is north of the tyne not south..... I feel like best time for a UK rework is when a ireland DLC comes....

The mountains are, indeed, better. HOWEVER, I disagree about some of the old junction prefabs, such as the one you mentioned. That junction in particular REALLY sucks, and I hate driving through them (there's still parts of the base map and especially the Going East area that has them). Good riddance.
I hope in 1.45 there will be a Switzerland Rework. I'm from Switzerland and I haven't the feeling that i'm in Switzerland. Pro Mods only rebuild Berne (It's okay) and Build Basel ( It can be better) and the Border CH/Italy ( IT's actually good). In the SCS map there isn't Basel, Lac Leman, Lake Contance, Lake Lucerne, the important border crossing to Bregenz (AT). In the Region of St.Gallen there are windmills in the map, I thought seriosly ? The signages are false and and... I'm sure SCS will do a very good job for a future rework

Anyone know why my game is broken? I haven't had any map mods installed on my main profile, so updating to 1.44 shouldn't have been a problem. However, any time I open the map or press F5 or Look for a job, my whole game crashes. Also when I go into free look, there is missing gaps in the roads and I can't F9 my lorry.
Might be some things: First is to be aware, that updating to a new version that is in beta will always bring errors and bugs with it. That is why it is beta and not fully released. Second you shouldn't be using your main profile in the betas. You should create a save for testing this new version. This is what I would do: since your having all that, I would verify games files first (even though I think it wont do much in this case). Steam Library -> ETS2 -> Right Mouse click -> Verify game files Now test the game. If it continues happening, try just making a quick profile and see if it continues happening. If game doesnt crash, you have a problem with your main save. If it crashes, might be other things. Let me know!
@@MilanTrucker thanks bro I went through all the mods one by one and found the mod that crashed the game. Brutal Traffic Mod for some reason works fine in game but when you open the Map or Freelook F9, it'll crash. Weird.

They could have finally done something about Budapest, which still uses some ets1 assets like walls and sidewalks, even though its part of a paid dlc..or they could add Athens after so many years. But no, let's rebuild Austria or Germany for the tenth time.
after enjoying it for 6 years it's really gotten boring nothing new, just rebuild the road, destroy mods compatibility, and enhance graphics, I lefted it for three years in the hope when I came back I will find it enjoyable again but no it still boring even the modders stop making mods for it, the youtubers abandoned it.
Nope, but it reworks next map is Romania, we have road connection from Craiova - Caracal on this map in ''Road to The Black Sea,, and add a new city is Arad and Oradea, Sibiu, Caracal coming soon next date from update.

The big thing that stands out for me is the improvement in the trees. They look so much better in 1.44. Excellent video!
