- The Crystal Cathedral Choir performs (08/30/2009)
Words: Charles Wesley, Hymns for Those that Seek and Those That Have Redemption in the Blood of Jesus Christ, 1747.
Music: Hyfrydol, Rowland H. Prichard, 1830
Love divine, all loves excelling,
Joy of heaven to earth come down;
Fix in us thy humble dwelling;
All thy faithful mercies crown!
Jesus, Thou art all compassion,
Pure unbounded love Thou art;
Visit us with Thy salvation;
Enter every trembling heart.
Breathe, O breathe Thy loving Spirit,
Into every troubled breast!
Let us all in Thee inherit;
Let us find that second rest.
Take away our bent to sinning;
Alpha and Omega be;
End of faith, as its Beginning,
Set our hearts at liberty.
Come, Almighty to deliver,
Let us all Thy life receive;
Suddenly return and never,
Never more Thy temples leave.
Thee we would be always blessing,
Serve Thee as Thy hosts above,
Pray and praise Thee without ceasing,
Glory in Thy perfect love.
Finish, then, Thy new creation;
Pure and spotless let us be.
Let us see Thy great salvation
Perfectly restored in Thee;
Changed from glory into glory,
Till in heaven we take our place,
Till we cast our crowns before Thee,
Lost in wonder, love, and praise.
This is wonderful. I do miss this kind of singing at the Crystal Cathedral. Nothing like this will ever be heard at Christ Cathedral as it now is. Thank you for uploading.
Inexplicably omitted was the fact that this piece was arranged by Dr Mack Wilberg.
Thank God, we have these videos of the once great Crystal Cathedral Choir. Sad to lose such a fine music tradition like this one.
AHHH! The Master himself! Dr. Nuen! He makes you feel and believe each and every note. Thank you Sir for bringing music alive and making your students feel and understand.
beautiful hymn...and memory worshiping at the Crystal Cathedral.

Amen!

And just how are you "suppose" to sing it?
I wish someone had taught this choir that vibrato is fine when you're a soloist but when you're in a choir, you aren't a soloist, and if you can't control it, you're out. All this vibrato makes them sound hysterical, and I don't mean funny.
that's not the way your suppose to sing this song
