In this vid you will see how I made a horn ramrod tip on my homemade mini laith. The laith was build 3 years ago to have something for smal parts manufacturing.
so thanks for watching and dont forget to like and subscribe
LOVE the mini lathe. Excellent idea and I can't believe I haven't thought of it sooner. Will definitely be rigging one of these on my workbench.
And it is very usefull for tiny parts. On the big laith the tool rest is to far away to get a good result. And it was made mainly from scrap 😊😁
@@homemadehistory7537 Love it. Something like this might make an appearance in my own videos someday. Really great idea.
Now I need to make a lathe...... nice work !
Thanks;-) you can use a drillstand as well. only mount it vertcal and ad a conter bearing and a toolrest.
That loos very nice, a good idea using the keyless chuck, you can easily bash your fingers when close to the chuck when you have jaws sticking out, a Kentucky lathe !
I know that and learnd it the painfull way with my bigger laith. Not nice when the yaws hit your hand or kick the tool out of your hand .
👍 = es gibt nichts mehr zu sagen! Alles perfekt!
You should post your homemade lathe on " HomemadeTools.net " . I'm sure others would be interested in seeing this.
It works rather well ... ;-)
