It’s like we’re OTC and the decision you make could work in your favor or stub your toe because you never know who’s going to fall.
Part of me wants to say “screw the data. Just take your guys!”
Banger episode so far gents 👏

Love the long form content, guys. I think you all do fantastic work - truly mean that. These are really enjoyable for degenerates like me to listen to. With that out of the way, I just really dislike the A-Rich team roster for a lot of reasons. (Also as a disclaimer - I'm sorry if some of these points come up in the latter half of the video. I haven't had a chance to listen fully through yet.)
I'm fine with the A-Rich pick, but if you're taking that much risk at the start I think you need to balance that out with another quality vet QB sooner. Next QB you took was Penix who legit may not play until 2026 or 2027. And sure, you've got Danny Dimes in there too, but he's a guy who could lose is job entirely after the bye this year if the Giants are struggling and Nabers isn't getting fed well enough or a myriad of other reasons. I'm fine with the WRs aside from there just not being enough of them taken, but the quality drops dramatically after your firs three - which leads me to the Kyren pick. I think we can all agree regardless of how last year turned out that Kyren's probability of repeating last season as a true bell cow this year and moving forward is low. If you look at 2023 objectively it was a perfect storm of events for him. He was the only guy on the roster who could legitimately make an impact at that position last year, they traded his only competition - partially because they believe in him so much. But that opened them up to a ton of risk on the back end with multiple true JAGs when KW was hurt. And McVay has already said they don't want to give Kyren as much work this season then they drafted BC to fill some of that production immediately. So you took BC as well, which I love and agree that you should have an RB1 between the two - but the Kyren pick feels like a waste from a long-term/start-up perspective if you've got BC when you still had guys like Collins/Moore/D-Smith/Maye on the board. The Rams are also one of the most willing teams to move off an RB almost entirely if one guy is producing well, especially when it comes to injury. Which Kyren is no stranger to. And RB is the easiest position to replace in a SF dynasty format from a value perspective. You also took Puka so you're investing huge start-up draft capital in the first four rounds on two guys who are going to steal production from each other for theoretically years to come in a best-case scenario. Sure, they can both be good and should be. But you're always going to be missing that true ceiling if you're drafting both guys. And what happens when Stafford retires or McVay leaves? Stafford is obviously more likely to be gone sooner, but the wheels could fall of ridiculously fast when he retires.
Certainly productive struggle-esc lineup and if Nabers/A-rich hit I think you've got some nice pieces but if you go to war with this team for a few years I feel like you're always going to be playing catch-up at all of the positions - even WR because you took Kyren instead of a lower risk similar upside WR. If you were open to drafting RB somewhat early think you'd have been way better off taking Bijan in the second and then going all WR for three or four rounds and snagging Maye somewhere in the middle of that WR run.
From a value based draft approach I think you put yourself in a very high risk - low upside position where you've got very few outs if/when something goes wrong. I'd look to tank this team for the 1.01 immediately because I don't believe you can win this year with that lineup. First order of business would be selling Kyren to the highest bidder for a WR and some picks. Maybe even move off A-Rich if he balls out with the same exact playstyle that got him injured last year for a safer asset like a Kyler/Love/Lawrence + a first. The odds of A-Rich being healthy for most of his career are ridiculously low and you've got zero depth in the current QB room.
I'd also propose this question: if A-Rich was in this year's draft class, would Daniels be drafted before or after him? IMO JD would be drafted before A-Rich both in the real NFL and fantasy. They have almost the same ridiculous rushing floor and ceiling with the big differentiator being that Daniels is a FAR better pure passer. If you're dead set on taking on that rushing upside, why not insulate the risk by taking Daniels in the late second or early third and taking ASRB in the first? It wouldn't surprise me at all if Daniels has a better, longer career than A-Rich. We just saw brilliant flashes of what A-Rich can be and we're looking at the shiny objects right now. You could have started ASRB/QB/Nabers etc.....that seems like a better start to me.
Sorry for the long post, but it's a longform video so I felt like it would be a good spot to start some dialogue. GG fellas!

i think with that draft they should hammer a drake maye or jj mccarthy instead of a RB anytime. this team besides at WR is not primed to win anything this year. why take a RB which won’t play more than 3-4 years. especially in a mcvay offense when you get the upside of a QB

In the middle of a slow draft. I have 2 of the next 3 picks. 10 team SF, so far I've got Allen and Tua, Puka, Nabers, Odunze, Nico. We start 1 QB, 1 SF, 2 RB, 2 WR, 3 FLEX, 1 TE. Full ppr, not TE prem
These are guys I'm considering with the the second and third pick upcoming: Coleman, Rhamondre, Benson, McConkey, Diggs, Kamara.
What do you think? If I get Rhamondre and Benson (what I'm leaning toward) I can aim for someone like amari cooper, d johnson, or Godwin later on to fill that last flex.
