@ it should be coming in soon so I will let you know when it gets here, It shouldn’t be too Much of a difference being only a plus 3 inches on most measurements. Even if it’s a bit big I don’t think I’ll go though the hassle of returning it cause I plan to use it for skiing so I like it a bit bigger, it is insulated aswell which will add a bit of thickness to it. I was very torn on what size to buy when ordering cause I don’t have a arcteryx store near me, every thread I saw there were 6 1 guys saying I love medium it fits perfect, then I saw I love large it fits perfect. So I went with the large cause I’d rather is be a bit baggy than tight. Thanks for reaching out.
Nice video! I really wonder why they stopped making this jacket . I find it more useful than the alpha sv , for the average consumer , considering the pockets
Good point! I think the beta ar is what they have aimed at the general consumer nowadays. The sv is a bit much unless you’re ice climbing and then in that situation the chest pockets are clutch. I personally love the regular pockets though so I see your point!
How much do you weigh? I'm 180lb. I would say it fits me near perfectly. But it's fitted. If you're a bit lighter than me it's still going to fit you well! Especially with you insulating layer/base layer!
Arcteryx and Patagonia already account for layering. Assuming you’re not over layering, just get you’re regular size and you’ll be fine for the most part.
I would personally go medium! These jackets are mostly for winter sports and keeping snow out. So they want to keep the snow from going down your pants! 😂 I think for a streetwear fit there are other styles :)
Hey! It's poseidon! It does look more like kingfisher in this video because the lighting slightly dark. I have some pictures on instagram with a bit more accurate colors @ instagram.com/p/CZaDdWfPvTt/?
@@Richcaptures haha I think this is good enough I guess. Didn’t realize that the shell jackets run bigger even though it’s the same size. I’m a size small and was debating if I need to go up a size on the shells to go over the insulated jackets. Maybe both smalls should be fine I hope
@@S55andynn yeah 100%. They cut the shell knowing that you will layer it. If you fit an arcteryx small insulated layer then the small shell will fit over top. Glad I could help! You looking at getting a Beta SV? I'll maybe do a full review this week.
Hey! It protects you from wind and rain. So it keeps you from chilling. However, it is not insulated at all so it will not protect you from cold ambient temperatures
@@Richcaptures Oh, ok so in order to use it in cold circumstances, you also need a isulation layer? Thx for answering, can you suggest any of their layering jackets? Which one were you using and how good is it?
@@Lachsbube I love the one I'm using in this video. Arcteryx Proton Lt. There's lots of others though, and Arcteryx is generally pretty expensive. I would recommend synthetic insulation if you want to be ACTIVE in it. Or Down insulation if you want to be stationary. Thanks for watching!

Finally… someone doing a fit video. Thanks dude!
Found this right after I purchased a large insulated sabre, I roughly the same size as you
@@scesty if I recall that one fits a bit big on me even in the medium. Does the large fit you?

A review would be cool!
Hello, what is the name of the feathered coat that you are wearing underneath? thank you
Hi Arturo! It’s the Proton LT
You think a medium is good for 185cm and slim? Would mainly be used for skiing, so there will be layers under.

Whats the first coat you had on?
@dawidgamer5685 proton LT!
Exactly the vid I needed....but now they dont stock the sv :/
Really wanted one for snowboarding and ice climbing
I’m 6’1”/ 185cm and i think i need small cuz i hate when the jacket goes over the waist/too loong

We need a review of this product, too less information about on youtube! Thanks!
