Meteor Combination is still one of the coolest fucking things ever created. Game and Anime
agreed... Goku was smooth af with that one (though my favorite version is from raging blast 2 if not counting Kakarot)
Still is a bit strange is a attack of goku(namek saga) instead of goku(adult, saiyan saga)

There were strong challenges in the game, and the images and movements were very realistic in the original anime. The game is excellent, and for myself I tell you that it is better than all parts of Dragon Ball. Even the Kakarot game will not come as strong and accurate as Tenkaichi 3, so what? Your opinion, my friend.

I'm guessing the dragon isn't necessarily bigger but Hirudegarn in the game isn't quite as big as he really was in the anime. Same for great apes etc. They're actually supposed to be way bigger. I think DBZ Kakarot got the great ape size pretty good.

Dragon Ball Budokai Tenkaichi 3 can't be replicated or superseded due to the fact that people involved in the project were all fans (it shows on the details), they loved what they were doing and they loved dragon ball. We no longer have that people making dragon ball games...
Nah, we still have people like that for games like Kakarot, FighterZ, and so far Sparking Zero.

Kakarot is a great retelling of the series which attempts to add more world building in a lot sequence in between fights, and trying to recapture the serialized feeling. Example of that is update soundtrack in between sagas to make them feel more authentic to the original series. Side quests which tie in to a sagas greater narrative like Gohan helping a distrusting Namekian or Trunks befriending Eighter to show not all androids are bad. And giving us fully featured dlc campaigns that expand the part of the series they adapt.
Sparking Zero isn’t out yet but it is revealed to have the longest dev cycle for DB game yet and the presentation is top notch for a game with the largest roster to date. Also, Sparking Zero will have the original voice clips from the Tenkaichi trilogy.

Also keep in mind that the 3 games are built from the ground up so way more work went making them compared to T3 which reused a lot of assets from its predecessors.
@@azuresaiyan9005 Dragon ball fither z is not a good example. Is not even a 3D game and it's rooster is not only small but extremely monetized.
Kakarot is the same scenario. Extremely limited rooster.
Sparking Zero is already showing (in the gameplay) that the animations are way worse than the ones from tekaichi 3 (surely because they went over quantity instead of quality).

1. As I said, FighterZ was created from the ground up. Characters are far more intricately designed and less homogenous as well.
2. Kakarot is a single player game. Why would there be the same number of playable characters in that game as a multiplayer game?
3 Are you blind? Sparking Zero looks amazing for a game with even more characters than Tenkaichi 3. What’s even more impressive os that Sparking Zero is also built from the ground up and isn’t reusing assets like Tenkaichi 3.
It always surprised me that despite the PS2 limitations, they were able to translate scenes from the anime so faithfully with the character models and animations.
I really can't wait for the beautiful animation in Sparking zero and the comparison there ❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥

Back when the priority of the devs was to satisfy the fans. Nowadays it's all about sales. Hope we can have this attention to detail in the sequel.

And that's one of the reason I still think this is the best Dragon ball fighting game ever made. They made it look exactly like the anime and that's amazing for a PS2 game. No other game came close to this afterwards. Hoping the new sparking game manages to exceed this but we'll see.

the most prominent example of this is super vegeta's iconic kick against second form cell, which isnt in the anime

This is my favorite move when using Bardock but what I don't understand is why would they remove the extra hits from kicking or kneeing your opponents in the back when it was in Tenkaichi 2

they definitely have hair physics in sparking zero already, but its looking a little bit weird
they didn't make the dragon bigger, they made Hirudegarn smaller.
they did make Hirudegarn smaller, but even then the dragon is just too big

@@El_Peje2 It's GT Trunks move but I think the implication when Tapion uses it in the Tenkaichi/Sparking series, is that Tapion probably invented the move and taught it to Trunks.

The difference is that in the game and in the anime everything was minimized to the extreme.

second, the idea was more to show where the animations where inspired from, so for me it wouldnt make a lot of sense to compare it to something that came out after
I find it a bit odd that most of the community refer to BT4 almost exclusively as BT3 without mentioning it’s a mod
