Hi Rick, Thanks for the video. Having gone thru the manual, which may have been improved since you've posted this video, the two plastic pieces you thought weren't needed will stop the bike from rocking, swaying. Also, although not in the manual, I think the side hooks need to be horizontal, because that's the shortest distance and will continue to be snug after driving for a while. I'm new to this and didn't think about taking the front wheel off. Have you tried with and without? What's your advice if you have tried both? Thanks again
+Rayan Mufti (MirageDaBeast) I almost forgot about this video. Since that road trip I have not used the bike rack. I now put my bike inside a newer Jeep GC. I wondered what the parts were for.
Those are anti sway attachment, which go underneath the "clamps. Match the two arms smooth side down and it adds another attachment point
