    Thanks for showing the inside and that the ripstop is the bottom and carries through to the interior. I was hoping the water resistant coating included the bottom, so I could put it in a wet canoe without it soaking through, but I guess not! Bummer.

    Thanks dor the review, Rihard. Thinking of picking up this bad boy on my next trip back to Europe. However what I miss is some close-ups on reinforcement poins, where the straps are fastened, the dimensions of the zippers and such critical areas. Because the alterative is to fork out twise the money for a more prestigeous brand duffel. Been looking at osprey transporter, sea to summit nomad 65. Then there are patagonia and north face that you mentioned... What do you think? Does the quechua bag stand up against those proven brand duffels when it comes to ruggedness, material, reinforcements and reliability?
    The design is certainly very appealing anyway, the extension feature in itself is kick-the-butt of competition really. Because the very static size and the need to fill the bag up at least 85% in order to not be a total mess, that is really the weak spot in this segment. So design wise, very appealing. But build quality?

    • @richardm23
      @richardm23  5 лет назад +1

      Siete Pesos yes it is pretty durable. I would say not as durable as the North Face Duffel but still could stand up to some good abuse. The material is real soft but seems like it is pretty durable. Yea sorry for the wide camera angles I do these reviews by myself. The zippers and reinforcement points seem pretty sturdy. I have not tested it a whole lot, and again can not compare to the top brands like North Face and Osprey, but you are definitely paying half the price. The negative is that after a few uses that it is almost on the small side. You might not get more than a weeks clothes and necessities in it. But great for short trips. If you are looking and need that ruggedness, reliability, etc from the top brands I might fork out a bit more money and get one of those brands, but I’m definitely going to use this! It holds up in comparison to my North Face Duffel. I don’t have a Patagonia or Osprey Duffel so i can’t comment. Hope that helps

      Thanks Richard. Well, since I'm a bag junkie I might pick up both this and the osprey transporter. If I think I can afford it.. Then I can make a comparison video.
      Keep your good work. And good luck getting some christianity back into western Europe, that is certainly needed.

    Have you seen or tried the Forclaz/Quechua duffel 100? It’s very similar to this but can be folded to a small size. I’m confused which one to get,

    • @richardm23
      @richardm23  2 года назад

      Mine is the 40-60 liter size which works out to be like a large backpack. And then you can expand it to the 60 liter which is a rather large backpack. That size you are talking about must be much bigger than the one I have here

      @@TheEverydayManChannel I did not know there was another model. That’s interesting I’m afraid I can’t help with that. I have not seen that other model before. I did like this one a lot. In fact I liked it so much I bought another Forclaz bag. I think Quechua is the same company or they got bought out. Not sure. I have two bags that are basically the same just different colors. Hi!
    Could you please tell me the hight of the bag please (from bottom to main compartment zip whilst closed/unextended). Many thanks in advance.

    • @richardm23
      @richardm23  4 года назад +2

      Approximately 70 cm long, 40 cm high when NOT extended when extended can go up to 45 cm high and can also get at big at 45 cm wide. It can extend to a really big size and also be packed really tight and small for a carry on size. But when you pack it full and extend it it will not fit in an overhead compartment

    Waterproof??

    • @richardm23
      @richardm23  4 года назад +3

      Om Bhardwaj unfortunately not, but I would say a good level or water resistance. It would take a lot of consistent rain or wetness to penetrate the very good and durable fabric.
