SUPERBOOTH 2024: Synthstrom Audible - Deluge Sequencer Synth Sampler
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 6 ноя 2024
- At Superbooth 2024 we caught up with Reza from Synthstrom Audible who showed us some of the developments to the Deluge in the past 10 months since the firmware was made open-source. The keyboard has been improved, and though it's not velocity sensitive, you can now latch different velocity levels to the keys. There's now a chord mode, with a chord memory to improve playability in live situations. Its now possible to develop your own mods provided you know C , but the developers have made it so if you make a mistake, you wont destroy your Deluge. If you get stuck, there's a devchat Discord for support, with the link on the website.
Deluge has a full-featured internal synthesizer engine providing subtractive, wavetable and FM synthesis and polyphony is limited only by CPU with up to 64 synth voices playing simultaneously. Deluge gives you live looping of audio and instruments, MIDI clips, including easy overdubbing with layering and automatic tempo setting.
Deluge Price: 1,399 USD

It's so awesome I'll be doing my videos when the beta goes public!!!
Looking forward to it Ron 😎
chad synthstrom shows their seven year old product, while everyone else is trying to push something new, or in a lot of cases just something they are trying to rehash. not a deluge plus, or play, or any of that jazz. just good ol deluge! still getting improvements, and love. and i only had to buy it once
My thoughts exactly😊
"and i only had to buy it once" ⬅ 💪🏼
I bought it twice, missed it that much! Forget the op-1. This is the best.
Lcd upgrade.
And I just bought one 😅😂
Yay!! Synthstrom Deluge Devs... THANK YOU!! The new (Beethoven) Community Beta is awesome... Perfomance mode... NEW Scales and Modes (Melodic Minor, Harmonic Minor, Hungarian Minor, Marva, Arabian, Whole Tone, Pentatonic Minor, Hirajoshi)... Fill steps (including NOT Fill)... The Mod and Velocity bars... Chord and Chord Memory... Clock Synced Stutter... and the Mutable Instruments Reverb Algorithm!! I am in Awe of your dedication and acomplishments!!
I had a "yes, of course" reaction when I saw the Framework laptop on the table. Open Source and Right To Repair are in these guys' blood.
😮 Awesome Deluge skills and performance and sincere thanks to the Community Dev Team for such epic work.
Made by one man in a shed in NZ gifted to the universe. Thankyou universe, I owe you a beer.
To be more accurate, it's now a product of dozens of volunteer coders almost completely transforming the device.
@@RhombusLabs yes frosty "now a product of dozens of volunteer coders" = universe (and the 'I owe u a beer" open source tag line)
Wow, this was easily one of the best demos of the unit I’ve seen. That song was absolutely gorgeous.
It was - stunning.
thank u !!
Loving all of the new features! This was also an amazing demo of the Deluge. Such a great little performance! Awesome stuff!
Absolutely insane what they’ve done with the open source. One of the very best synth companies out there.
Dayamn that demo track was superbly executed! Very cool stuff with the community patch work 👌
wHOA, ...first time I EVER heard anybody do a BANGING TRACK DEMO ON THIS!!!!!!!!
Go check out Red Means Recording's videos on the deluge. Some SERIOUSLY banging tracks from him.
❤❤
Turned my deluge into a real power house. Great work.
Great job guys, thank you so much for all of your efforts 👍
Holy shit that demo hits hard!
Amazing work, great to see Reza I've only interacted on fb comments so nice to put a face to the name. Sick track too 😎
Fantastic developments! I can't wait to try 🤩
Amazing! So nice to see (some of) the open source crew
"I fear not the man who has practiced 10,000 kicks once, but I fear the man who has practiced one kick 10,000 times." There's not much you can't do with a Deluge.
Excelent community effort. As always. Gg
goooo reza!
Love my Deluge! Would love two things to be added to grid clip launcher mode: insert row, and copy row ❤
Bigup the deluge massive ✌🏻
For me one of the best all round devices ever made in a tiny package you can take anywhere with superb battery.
I have the original red led version which I would never change.
A lot of people who have them swear by them
That track was dope.
Heh, those custom black end panels on the Deluge in the back looks really sleek... maybe I should do that for my Deluge...
You guys just rock the deluge 🚀🚀🚀
best community. Big up to devs
rex’s, can I possibly pick your brain for a moment when you get. from superbooth? your track is being insane!!!!!!
Love this
RIP headphone users 😆
I said REZA!!!
It would be great if it was possible to use a samartphone as a screen (trough usb) for Deluge. Beethoven Community...
Noooooo don’t show me the old display!!
Boards of Canada
😍
its now possible to extract/genereate stems out of it?
not in an automated way, you can only resample each track manually currently
@@ok_rezaas along this is not realized, its not interesting for me (and many others who want to producing in more professional way)
@@HOLODECK-MUSIC-PROJECTthe first thing likely is automating the process of resampling a whole song one track at a time. maybe if the USB code (which is extremely complicated and may need to be reformatted) is figured out we can get multitrack recording, but have your hopes for the first and not the latter
Would be cool if they figured out how to code in a longer maximum attack time on the internal synths, want to get that long swell for dramatic effect sometimes.
modulate env1 attack by itself (env1) and you can get longer attacks !
@@ok_reza it sounds bad, I'm not sure why but the slope of the attack just doesn't sound right that way
@@JoeM1314 the more it's modulated by itself, the longer the slope is at the beginning and shorter is at the end. if your env1 attack is at 50 and you patch it to env1 by -25 you should have an attack time that is 4 times longer than normal. a value closer to -50 will have even longer times but with a quick ramp at the end which may be undesirable, and value closer to 0 will have shorter times but a smoother end ramp. otherwise, if you want longer you can always use automation view and make volume automations last as long as you really desire
@@ok_reza yeah it's the ramp being too steep at the end. I'll play with it some more but I felt an immediate visceral yuck the first time I tried and heard it, just wasn't what I wanted out of it at all.
I'll check out automation ramps too. Only just downloaded community fw on Thursday for the first time. I play regular gigs with the Deluge so wasn't really comfortable with it changing more things than I could keep track of, but I'm diving in now. The gold knobs now displaying values on the display for old Deluges is a god send
is it me or the chord mode sounds a bit 'flat-robotic' ? Maybe the patch used in this case.
i demo'd chord mode with an initialized saw patch. chord mode will play all notes at the same time, but i bet you can randomize envelopes to have each voice come in/out at slightly different times if desired
@@ok_reza that's great!!
Thanks
@@ok_reza Yo ! Can I ask you ? Which firmware will bring chord mode ?
@@effebidi9677 1.1, releasing very very soon !
@@ok_reza actually I don't lknow how to do that in deluge. , randomizing envelopes per note I mean... for example the keystep 37 I know has a function in it that can do it very beautifully , but of course that's an other game
So many absolutely great features still to tell and a demo track was requested, that was indeed great, but ... come on?
RSKT just dropped a great overview of the new features so far including some features from the current 1.1 beta that is close to release ! m.ruclips.net/video/o1Qd8JCBEJ8/видео.html
