The 48MP and "4K" seem to be "marketing". From what I can see on AliExpress, these cameras tend to be 1080p - which is also written on the top. I'd still be happy with that, for the price point, having reasonable lighting, stand and a half decent lens probably makes more difference than "extra pixels" and I think it would do me just fine. If it really dumps 48MP images on the SDCard, that sounds like upscaling...
Glad you're feeling better. I got a hobbyist version of an assembly microscope from Amazon, and it helps my old eyes quite a bit for soldering, but it's even better for inspection to see if my soldering was acceptable. I believe you have a component tester that will at least tell you if the remote control problem is from the remote itself or from the camera electronics. But you should rest, not play with electronics. Take care.
Yes, I use an iPhone. I just use a cheap tripod adapter/holder I got off Amazon and that is mounted to a piece of wood that clamps to the upper shelf on my bench.
@@jakubczajka4275 Gotcha! I still like THT myself even though my own personal designs are leaning more toward SMT. Especially for newbies. Some folks have a hard enough time with THT soldering
A lot of these microscope cameras seem to be rebranded Hayear cameras. I bought mine on amazon on sale for $125 but it came with a really big stand and a 180x lens. My lens has the same issue as yours where it doesn't really focus like they claim it should but it works for my needs. A stereo microscope is useless for me as I'm blind in one eye otherwise I would have preferred one of those.

Hello, what software are you using on your computer for displaying the vidéo from this cam ? I tried VLC but it doesn't work.
I just used the Windows Camera application. The I use OBS to capture video from that application.
Where you able to use another sd card with it to record??
Yes I was, but I don't use it for that. I always just use it with my computer to capture images and videos.

Thanks John.
Checking my soldering is going to be one of my primary uses
Feel better. Prayers said.
Thanks!
What did you use to hold your iPhone, i guess it's your iPhone you're using for overhead shot

It should not be too difficult to get a new stand for the new Digital Microscope.
A laboratory retort stand would be a stop gap measure.
Thanks for review. With VAT and Fedex shipping I paid £111.11. No more THT for me.
THT?
Through-hole technology

Hayear seem to have a lot available. You're probably correct.
BTW, I too am legally blind in one eye.
