The low frequency can be damaging with prolonged use, hence why the instructions say wear earplugs. Great bit of kit for these modern times, just waiting for someone to really replace the mechanical Q sirens properly ;)
Can you do a comparison video between the whelen howler and the feniex hammer... maybe connect the whelen to the hammer and than the howler to see the difference.... I was thinking about getting a hammer but not sure if it will sounds the same with the whelen howler.. Also wondering if you only need one or if you should really get too... thank!
You really need to have a standard siren plus the Hammer. The Hammer can only do low tone so you would be missing the reach out and touch you sound of a standard siren. I am installing mine today piggybacking the signal off my standard siren.
bprice1892 separate button. You can see me doing that in the video. Activate yellow or brown wire on hammer unit to activate it. It will automatically time out after 60 seconds. You will have to cycle button to restart.
Emergency Fleet Service gotcha. I was under the impression you could hook it to an existing whelen siren box but wasn't sure how it would be activated. Thanks

Whelen howler and feniex hammer sound pretty much the same feniex hammer is just cheaper

Is this being ran by only the hammer for High's and Lows or is there another speaker in the background we are not seeing.
A Triton is hooked up further away so I didn't go deaf

bprice1892 yes you can hook it up to existing siren but you need at least one free switch/button
I just received mine and I believe I’ve got everything hooked up right to a Whelen siren but it won’t play the tones

Rick Frank I didn't have the siren speaker hooked up yesterday. I only had the Typhoon hooked up to show the amount of it.
