I'm 70 years old and have five bikes. I've been riding since I was about 13 years old. I of course don't do stunt riding but I also don't wear boots (feels just too clunky). I’ve been riding since 1985. Started out on dirt bikes when I was 5, moved to sport bikes when I was 15, and been on Dynas since 2017. My biggest peave with people is them trying to tell me that motorcycles are dangers and advising me on what I should ride in and how I should ride…mind you, these are people that have never been on a motorcycle in their lives. I grew up on motorcycles, I live on motorcycles. I’m better at riding than am at walking. I’ve wrecked in every way possible, I’ve lost more friends than I can count, I’ve experienced just about everything you could possibly experience on a motorcycle. With that said, what makes anyone think they can advise me on anything motorcycle related, without having more experience than I have. What I have to say to those people… Kick rocks!!! This is my life, not yours!
I’ve wore boots all my life. I’m an ironworker Local 3 structural steel. I wear boots to church. I wear boots everywhere. And when I’m on my bike, I wear waterproof boots I do not stun ride. Most people who ride are well aware of the risks of how they ride. I don’t tell other people how to ride their shit, they’re grown. They can make their own decisions.
I get that same shit every time I ride. I don’t do anything like you do on a bike but, I am a fucking skateboarder and board feel is everything. So if I can feel how the bike is talking to me while I am riding the same way a board talks to me when I am skating, then I am in tune with what the hell is going on.

With respect, I ride 600 miles a week into work and back, more if I head into the mountains on the weekend. I wear jeans and boots because they're warm enough for So Cal mornings, cool enough for summer days and they're appropriate where I work. If I wore shorts and tennis shoes I'd freeze my balls off. Not only that I'm getting peppered by rocks, sand and any other shit people didn't feel they needed to secure in the bed of there truck. Don't think I wanna face that in shorts. What I guess I'm sayin' is I think you should dress for the conditions. You do what works for you man. I'll keep watchin'.
Not a stunt guy but I've set my bike up for mountain roads. Muscling a Sportster around tight Appilacian twistes requires similar feel. I really like having just the right gloves so I can feel the bars and thin sole boots work for me on the brake pedal. I can imagine stunting takes that to the next level so i can appreciate the need for specific gear.
To be fair, 100% cotton does not melt. Nor does it provide much protection against abrasion. I learned that the hard way... 19 square inches of skin grafted from a dead hobo... Yup. I have a black man's skin on my hip and ass... Because jeans fkin suck.

When I wadded up my bagger doing well over 80, my shoes came off, my jeans got shredded and my tank top was gone. The good news is that your skin, finger nails, etc. grows back, so no worries ;). I still ride my bikes to the beach wearing flip-flops, trunks and a tank top. If I’m wearing boots and leathers, it’s because it’s in the 40’s or below. I don’t care what anyone says, comfort over safety rules the day . You want safety? Drive your car or truck and drink your beer out of a sippy cup.
Experience is everything. Marketing and regulation has made everyone the “bike gear” police. F that protect your melon and wear what helps control your machine. Great video homie.
It's all about freedom to choose. It makes a lot of sense that you need the precise feel for stunting. Me personally, I ride my street bike with motocross boots. But I come from a dirt riding background and have been on dirt bikes since 1970. It's what I feel comfortable wearing when I ride. I have always worn a lot of gear, but don't rely on it to save me. Better to rely on skills.
Absolutely no question about it. A good pair of skate shoes like 'es Accel OGs are gonna give you the best ability to control your motorcycle and not crash! Once you crash from wearing stormtrooper size boots that gave you zero feel on the pegs, shifter or rear brake it's too late! Long distance touring is one thing. But if your pushing the bike to its limits for a relatively short period of time, your gonna have a way easier time of it when you can actually get input back from the motorcycle through your feet!
Most moto boots that have the white foam soles are fairly flexible. I'm talking about the typical unreasonably expensive, hard soled, ultra reinforced styles that have alot of hard plastic in the construction.

So you didn't watch the video, got it
I rode with a mate long-time ago who wore steel cap boots. little minor fuck up on his behalf turned out to be a life changing situation. The steel cap folded back and virtually chopped off all toes on his right foot from just behind the balls of his foot
Dude I hear about that a lot
When I had my stunt bike , we would do a hand rear brake lever. Agree doing stunts is at a slower speed and boot wont help, but I did wear a lower riding suit. Also I did road racing with Factory Honda and rear and front brakes are a must .(trail braking) at 170 mph
Stay safe and do you.
same here, bro'. i just commented the same 5 mins ago and read this. I have an additional brake lever below the clutch.
I could not agree more, been preeching the same for years, just leave em to it now, those that preech and ramble about gear usually have little riding experience.
🖤
I fuckin love this channel 😂
Thank you 😊
Love it! Whoop to the Dog from the Big M Town, Memphis, TN. Keep on rocking!
Great piece!!! You nailed it with the HD riders (yes, I ride a Harley) who get their "costume" on and play billy joe badass while wearing their skid lid or uber protective doo rag! People ask why I wear a full face or modular helmet. I tell them because I don't have enough sense to lose anymore and walk away.
I like the skid lid when I’m on my street glide so I can hear the radio but whatever shoes I’m wearing is what I’m riding in.
the reason why I keep my mouth shut about most shit lmao. The more I know, the less I know, and the more I understand that most people don't know shit either.
Amen
AMEN !!! I'm tired of hearing that shit too !
If you wreck..... you're going to get fucked up . Do it your way . 🤣🤣🤣
Glad I watched this before I commented... because I in fact do not know shit about stunt riding. Keep thrashin bro
Different rides require different gear. All that needs to be said
I can't talk, I just got back from the shop wearing crocs and board-shorts. feels good man.
😂🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
I love these rants by Ryan
Hands down the best video you’ve put out Ryan! Lol I love this shit
This shit is gold haha. Ive never had any issues doing a wheelie in my red wings, but whatever lol
i think a lot of this is just ego, bro'. I'm sticking with my vendramini mx boots. Right on, fella.
I don't always ride around in a jock strap but when I do I drink Dos Equis!!! Keep it real my friend!! LMAO
Your a fucken badass brother! Keep doing what your doing love the content
Wow! Is very scientific, but you do you man.
Dropping the knowledge! Hell yeah!
Thank you sir!
I hear you man. It’s our choice what we wear or don’t wear.
Hell yeah. Agree with it all. One thing that gets me as well is wearing all reflective. If you are to scarred to not be seen then you should not ride. I saw a guy last weekend wearing reflective full orange helmet, jacket, gloves and just a line of orange on his pants. What makes you think that will help behind a Street glide.
What I have to say to those people…
Kick rocks!!! This is my life, not yours!
Kick rocks, I like that.
No shit...That guy is such tool..
EXACTLY!
"I'm better at riding than I am walking. I've wrecked in every way possible". Huh!
My life, not yours, exactly.
You didn't mention trials, we wear boots and modulate the rear brake regularly?
"Put on your costume" Fuck.... absolute gold!!! Best video EVER!
I like how everyone has a coffee in their hand lmao
To touch on the jeans part, there are “riding jeans” made to slide even at highway speeds. I don’t wear them, but they exist 😂
they melt, get leather.
This guy put up a damn good argument… idk how to do anything but ride, and he convinced me that he is right lol
I like your point of view .
Thank you
I’ve wore boots all my life. I’m an ironworker Local 3 structural steel. I wear boots to church. I wear boots everywhere. And when I’m on my bike, I wear waterproof boots I do not stun ride. So that’s cool whatever you wanna do this is America you live with the fuck you wanna ride and you wear what the fuck do you wanna wear. God bless America. God bless you and yours.
Greatest video yet!!!
Na there’s better ones!!! But this one really hit it on the Nipple for sure!!!!
Great video. Some people just need something to bitch about. If you ain’t doing it like them, you’re wrong, as they’re the experts of everything.
100%
okay... let's see you come off your skateboard over 150 mph and call me back.
@@MHLivestreams why? There is no where in life I am going at 150mph. I’m just chilling and besides I have a chopper and 2010 FXDB I’m not running around looking for Dyna wobbles. Everyone has their own ride man.
I just found this channel by chance, fantastic truths, straight to the point. Loved it thanks.
Good topic
Funny shit some other RUclipsr posted a video about boots today 😂
I had to comment sayin
After a 3 hour ride I never felt more uncomfortable then before wearing boots
I wanted to wear my slip ons way more comfortable and like you said you feel more on the rear brake. Not that I’m wheeling but way better comfort if you ask me
VANS ALL THE WAY 😂
All day
Do your thing. Enjoy your life. 🤘🏼
I wear cowboy boots everywhere... even when I ride. Your Vans have no rattlesnake protection bro ahahaha
😂😂 now I can respect the cowboy boots
Not a stunt guy but I've set my bike up for mountain roads. Muscling a Sportster around tight Appilacian twistes requires similar feel. I really like having just the right gloves so I can feel the bars and thin sole boots work for me on the brake pedal. I can imagine stunting takes that to the next level so i can appreciate the need for specific gear.
I ride those same Appalachian Mountains and I’ll wear Chuck Taylor’s West Virginia
i have 'frank thomas city gloves' for that exact reason, i like to feel the controls.
I agree with everything you said about the boot got to feel them brake an gear changes
Amen
Man thank you for just being honest. Fawk the safety patrol boys 👍
We need a name for these people they are like the male Karen’s
@kruesioriginals maybe Carl or Richard hahahah
How about Ken’s
I started designing your shop gift’s also. Probably going to be a month or so before you get them. Takes time and money to make them.
To be fair, 100% cotton does not melt. Nor does it provide much protection against abrasion. I learned that the hard way... 19 square inches of skin grafted from a dead hobo... Yup. I have a black man's skin on my hip and ass... Because jeans fkin suck.
Because Boots are for "Hell Yeah" Brothers with sparkly jeans.
100%
Your choice. Safety matters
Never stunt rode my harley but like watching videos such as yours or Cbear. Always wondered why most guys rode with shorts and shoes and now it makes sense.
As a guy that’s ALWAYS worn work boots religiously on my bikes…….
I might be going out to Buy me some Hi-Top Vans. Lmao.
You make some good points Kruesi.
Drive your car or truck and drink your beer out of a sippy cup.
okay boomer
Could be the best RK vid so far lol "leather for lyfe BROTHER!!!" haha
Experience is everything. Marketing and regulation has made everyone the “bike gear” police. F that protect your melon and wear what helps control your machine. Great video homie.
Well said and thank you
I was on a group ride where a gentleman in his late 50's was riding with sandals and has for decades. Ride what you are comfortable in.
“We’ll I use the rear brake when I road race. Well you’re not very fast”😂😂😂 that was my favorite part
😁
I fucking love you. Wish I was out there to help you build badass bikes.
Don't let the Karens get to you homie... Do ya thing boi!!!
Holy shit that’s what it is it’s male Karen’s. We need a name for them
@@kruesioriginals I'm pretty sure they're called Kevin's. Then again I'm about as woke as roadkill. ( thank God )
@@t.s.racing also heard them called "Darens" lol
Well said dude....support that 100%
Hahaha love this
I died laughing great video man
Stunt Bunny Vans… I’d wear the shit out of those. Hope to see those on your site soon….
Make it happen kruesi
I would also buy the shit out those. 😂😂
We did make some through vans. But they wouldn’t do it because of the bunny ears. Too much like playboy
@@kruesioriginals I can see that…the KO with some wings then? Haha
Valid as fuck. Thank you for putting this out there.
To each their own but I’ve never felt my moto boots were the reason for crashing my dirt bike.
Most moto boots that have the white foam soles are fairly flexible. I'm talking about the typical unreasonably expensive, hard soled, ultra reinforced styles that have alot of hard plastic in the construction.
@@dirtbikekid I've got a new pair of Forma terra evos that I'm fond of for enduro riding, but if I was on a track trying to make time on a motocross bike like my '21 yz450f they wouldn't be optimum.
an angry Ryan is a funny Ryan. awesome shit bro, keep it up 😎
😂😂😎
"This dildo pulls in on his street glide with his big ass goofy boots on!" 🤣
Best line I've ever heard!
Granted, I'm guilty of riding my road glide in my cowgirl boots and leather chaps sometimes haha.
“Fuck your costume” lol
Officially my favorite youtube guy.
Fuck them keyboard warriors,
Vans all day everyday 🤙
Hell yes let’s go
I have rode wearing flip flops in the Philippines. I wear tennis shoes, ankle high cheapest boots can find. 69 years old now. Have a bad knee from a dirt bike accident. Just makes it hard to kick start my 83 FXWG. Good video, spoke your mind!
I f4cking love this vid! I use to do aggressive skating and BMX and ridding off-road so every single thing has a learning curve and as more experienced you are more risks you can take, more picky you become with the gearing as more movement freedom you wanna have.
Amen 100%
Road my dyna in my red back work boots for the first time and god I can’t stand the feeling of that. Half the time I couldn’t tell if my foot was under the shifter. Vans or any other low pro shoes is definitely gonna be my go to in any riding situation
Nailed it! There will always be Karnes out there! Keep killing it!
Ooo i love the carnival, when does it get to town?
Hell yeah man, I love it
Again. I’ve said it before, this man speaks his truth like a sworn statement. Respect.
🙏
Bahahahaha being scolded 😂 way too funny 🤘😎🤘
