Loved seeing how you're doing in the challenge. Recommend Soultaming the Serpent for SFBO, plus it's Ace representation. Huge Fredrick Backman fan and highly recommend Bear Town (a series) and Anxious People for literary. If you've already read Backman, Lessons in Chemistry is a great book and Daisy Jones & the Six is a great audiobook. Good luck continuing on.
Thanks so much for the recs. I have to read Lessons in Chemistry for my in-person book club, so it's great to know you liked it!! I've added the SPFBO book to my list. Thanks so much!!
I have read 2 of the SPFBO non-finalists: Fly with the Arrow (4⭐️) and Daughter of Flood and Fury (3.5⭐️). Both were available on Libby in audio. I had planned to read the Thornbirds as well, since I remember my grandma watching the show when I was young, but I may pick up The Shining instead.(I was originally worried it would be too scary😅)
haha, 1977 babies here!! ;) I see why people like The Thorn Birds (it was just too long for me). If you like those family epics, then maybe you'll love it. The Shining was a little scary, but not his scariest and not as scary as the movie to me.
This has been a really fun challenge. I have read 20 of the books from that Tonya Kappes series. It gets better and better as the series progresses. I completed Webcomic early because that seemed easy but it was my very first one. Not sure I want to read anymore though. I downloaded the WebToon app and read Melvina's Therapy. You're doing a great job on yours. I need to set up the document and input what I've read so far.
I love looking at a spreadsheet and any kind of completion checklist... it makes me happy and motivates me to keep going. I think I'll start on a webcomic in a few weeks.
@@TheReadingandWritingLife It is! I'm trying my best to get the 'harder' challenges out of the way first, and leaving my name and alphabet for random reads. With 3 readathons next month I will probably get to filling those up quickly though, I suspect xD
I would recommend Seeds of War (The Smokesmiths Book 1) by Joao F Silva and The Werewolf of Whitechapel (Miss Sharp's Monsters Book 1) by Suzannah Rowntree, both entries for SPFBO9. The Werewolf one was a semi-finalist, but not a finalist.
I think this one will be cool to start in January and go through a year that way. I think a few people on the discord are planning to do it like that, so maybe you can just do it when it fits your life.
Farrah Rochon's Boyfriend series is good! They're semi-spicy and fairly quick to read. The main characters are smart, professional women and their friendship is great. Read them in order, for sure.
I had a friend recommend The Thorn birds or Grapes of Wrath for me to read when I did this thing looking for friend and family book suggestions. I have not read either though. 😂 🐓
Okay, I'll link the video I used to make mine and then you can let me know if you still have questions. They explain it better than I can anyway! :) ruclips.net/video/hun0rhAGpYI/видео.htmlsi=7mLg2lwbSzUjodhq

Also, thank you for the SPFBO non-finalist. I love an audiobook on libby!! ;) I'll check them both out.
Hahaha Jango looks like he goes to an ivy league college 😂😂
hahaha, he has so many of those sweaters in lots of colors. I got them on Amazon! :)

You're making amazing progress. Such an inspiration.🐦🐦
That's so sweet!! Thank you! I was involved in a few readathons in July and August, so my numbers are higher than normal!!
I believe Q said the garage sale books just have to be second hand 🐦🐦 Almost 30% wow! That's a great pace! ❤
Yeah, I don't buy books so I've been using little libraries. Been fun to explore.
Thanks!!
Little Libraries will be my backup if I can't find any yard sales before winter. It's too cold here after November for there to be yard sales.

🦅 mornin!❤️😎☕️
💖😂 Morning, daddy. I love you!
You've made some amazing progress! I'm at 22.97% and have completed 6 bingo squares so far :) I am also not doubling up and using all my names. 🕊️
That's awesome. I just finished The Thorn Birds, so I've finished another bingo square. It's so satisfying!! ;)

You have read so much!
I need another hobby, I think! :)

Awesome!! I got 3 recs already, so your two gives me my 5 total. I'll go order those now!! thanks!!
I also hate birds (although it's more of a fear of them), it's always fun to find out I'm not the only one, lol!
Oh yeah... I'm scared of them, which is why I hate them! haha ;)
❤❤❤ l thought about doing this one, but l didn't end doing it.

@TheReadingandWritingLife true, l think l would like that better as most of this year has been booked

Oh, awesome!! I'll grab book one. Thanks!!

I can see what The Thorn Birds is so popular, but man... it was just too long for me!!

Your channel is so fun. I love how you light up when you talk about the books.
Webcomic - Digger. It is my 5 Star read for HRCYED so far
Oh awesome!! Thanks so much and thanks for the suggestion!! I'll add it on my list.
I would love to learn how to do the percentage bar, 🎉🦜
