Thanks for testing. Love your gameplay since I can see where this stage is still raff to read and what to do. If anyone is curios about the progress. We still like to finish this one day but we are under no pressure and I still learn how to program for the SNES and go for smaller projects to do that.
Great work! Its looking very good Sorry for being picky, but the Teutonic Knights were the ones who went to the Carpathians, not the Templars xD Count me as excited about this hack :)
Retro games doesn't disappoint us. The moment you hear those nostalgic music and sound effects, it brings you back to the old days and reminisce the good moments. The thrill that retro games is providing is uncomparable.
Not bad so far, decent level design and all the new artwork and sprites are pretty awesome. Hope the mod author continues this, decent Super Castlevania IV hacks are hard to come by. Thanks for showing it off and letting us know it exists.
I work on projects on or off, for a bigger project there is a lot of learning involved specially if you do not have a coding background it is a bit raff to get into coding in assembly. Sure this project did not make progress after the Demo and I am glad for the feedback we get in Videos like this. But after a view new projects this will be cool to pick up and do the changes we imagined for it.
@@trendmassacre8423 If you do critique be specific so the creator has the possibility to engage. For example I did explain to 6 people how to do palettes. When I did my palette hack the idea was just to show and refferance to it. Then also the idea to have this somehow inbetted into the randomizer. So I experimented whild with colors.. since people took the hack more series I improved it a bit. Making changes to all the bosses that use costum loading routines and palette animation is not a task I would call lazy at all. It is involved to not screw a byte and walk away like most people do.. I would call them lazy. But tell me what projects did u do? Hard to do project along making a lifing anyway as most seek enjonment.
@@bogaagames2706 please, pin point and specify where I said that THIS particular game hack was "lazy" please. Oh, I didn't specifically state that THIS Super Castlevania lV rom hack was lazy? There you go. I love this hack, as stated in my very own comment I left over a year ago!
@@trendmassacre8423 I did a lot of the hacks for this game and commants like this hack is lazy from people with no clue drives people away form the hobby.. so I had to comment since I think you have no clue of the work that goes into it. Wish you a happy new year. Beeing specific in critique is good else I think it should just be left out
Some truly beautiful assets and ideas in this project!!! I love love LOVE the story telling you can see especially in those opening moments. SCIV is a super cinematic game for the time but this hack ramps that up considerably.
you should change the audio for the whip to the japanese track, it sounds much more metallic, and would enhance the feeling of wielding a flail. great work so far, cheers!
This is really kick ass! Super Castlevania is still my favorite game of all time and i'm 44 now. One of the best musical scores for a game in all of gaming history, in my humble opinion. Really wish they'd make a new castlevania that was worthy of being a successor to this classic.
Love this! My friend and I were doing a CV-type game, though more like SOTN. I did a mini comic in school of it back in the day. It took place in WWII era, with Dracula's castle showing up, due to all the evil snd death in the world, at the time.. The two main characters, were a German soldier, who is a descendant, of Faust, and so gets magic. The other, a Romanian American soldier, obviously related to Belmont.
@Matt H Hey thanks! This was back in 07. Would have to change things a lot of course, since I couldn't create a CV game lol. I actually am getting back into an old project. It would be CV SOTN style, but striving to have it look more like Guilty Gear.. It is a cyberpunk-ish (not at all looking like Cyberpunk 2077, It is more influenced by Battle Angel Alita, I used to read the manga when I was a kid), semi-post apocalyptic world. It is being called "Sentient Armament". For laughs, I actually used Final Fantasy XV, to create the main character, which has made it easier to work on his designs. It was a bit strange seeing it, since I had originally created the character when I was 15 lol
So Sebastian Stan (The Winter Soldier) could be Simon Belmont in a live action movie? 💓😍 (he's romanian descent American Born) also Daniel Bruhl would be Dracula? (hes german and spanish descent) i always thought that Dracula was Romanian in first place before Belmont's....(also i don't know what country are Belmont's from but to me sounds Brittish)
This is a very good hack for SCV4, a Crusader Knight fighting through Dracula's Castle, with his fellow sword brethren fighting the monsters outside while the MC fights Dracula inside the Castle.... You are such a Genius!
Made me think of Army of Darkness. Specially with the monster and the end of first level being like the flying demon that captures the damsel in distress.
Still hard to believe that Super Castlevania lV is 30 years old already! I remember when it first came out I wanted a SNES so I could play this game. Castlevania has, is and always will be my favorite game series.
To my knowledge this is the most exhaustive SCV4 hack yet. This looks very promising. There's a few problems here and there though, you can tell most of the enemies / bosses are just reskins, and the sprites look a little bit jittery.
one improvement should be different music for each level, the one song gets too monotonous. A "Message of Darkness" remix would be perfect for the final stage music/final boss because that is the hands down spookiest castlevania song there is
You know come to think of it, I wish we had a Castlevania game where the protagonist has full body armor on like what we see here. I don't really count the axe armor mode in sotn since that was not a protagonist and more of a joke.
Very well produced, level design and gameplay. Could you put the music of the second boss different from the first one, like the one that plays on stage 6 of the original game.
SCV4 was my all time favorite. When will this be done I will buy the finished product. At least someone doing something new when Konami want give us a new Castlevania.
I always hated SNES-NES games' 'time limit' mechanic. I know it adds another level of challenge, but i feel games are meant to be enjoyed and delved into..
Love this gameplay , more than any critic about it, I remembered to play when in my country was very cold and my hands were shacking…. So every time I see games like this I missed so much that cold feeling in a younger world while played 😅😅😅

Well done. It is coming along nicely. Which language and compiler are you using for this?
Your hack looks amazing dude! It's like an entirely new game, good job
Keep it up! Looks great! Hopefully you can get some original tunes in the final offering :)
I would 100% buy this in Carthage format

Hope you like the song "Bloody tears".
Lol
parchie la rom pero no me arranca que hago?
Those Skeletons in the background look like they are trying to walk like an Egyptian...
3:07 I can't get over those crusaders and skeletons "fighting" in the background. They're really just pointing at each other like the Spider-Man meme.
It Is a rhyme fight

Yeah, usually people who do hacks for this game don't really do anything too different from the original, and it turns out lazy.

background skeletons are laughing at the knights. cant touch me. lol
Pretty good. The intro text on the background was little muddied with the red lettering on that background.

So it's like Portrait or Ruin too? Cuz there are two main characters in it(Jonathan and Charlotte)and it took place in WW2
this is amazing considering how many custom assets they put in for this mod
I've seen this before but the video quality here is great in comparison. Thanks and keep up these unique games, I'm LOVING them!
They attention to detail on this is fantastic. Keep it up!!!

The ghost falling off the screen like a duck hunt chicken is some of the funniest things i have seen.

Not a bad hack honestly! I'd love to see this completed and give it a playthrough myself, looks like it has a lot of potential.
This have a lot of potential.
Very good hack the background of the first stage Is insane
To my knowledge this is the most exhaustive SCV4 hack yet. This looks very promising. There's a few problems here and there though, you can tell most of the enemies / bosses are just reskins, and the sprites look a little bit jittery.
Level design is trash. If this is the most exhaustive SCV4 hack, then they've all been for naught.
@@Vespyr_ Why do you think the level design is trash?
Congrats to developer and the opening scene with the death army fight the Knights are awesome!
Good niche, man. So hard sifting through the crap hacks to get to the good ones. Get to a million subscribers asap. For real
Bloody Tears on the first stage? Bold take
Thank you for the 4:3 aspect ratio uploads!

Great video A really cool Crusader remix of a classic game. Nicely done.

Good hack, levels need to have some variety, and difficult curve to ve constant but you are getting there
Wow. There is some people out there thinking that crusade topics are a good addition to a game
This is awesome I hope to see the finished product one day
Great work in progress
The background art is too brightly colored. It needs to be dimmed to differentiate it from the foreground
Amazing work. Just change the music a little. Thanks, I'm a big fan.
It's a fabulous game!! Keep working on it!!! Every detail, new enemy and bosses are great!
Why people think the channel author is the owner of the hack?
@@OrochiCr i didn't read the desc neither chanel's name. Now that you commented i realized 😂. thnx
8:09 hit the moonwalk backwards down the stairs 😭🔥
great concept hope it gets finished.
Perfeito, nota 10 parabens
Simon now has armor.
DRACULA AM I DOING AN FUCKING ENTIRE HOLY CRUSADE AGAINST YOU
Can't wait ta see it completed.
This looks amazing.
This is a great hack. Only con would be the level is too long and bad use of the whip swing. That being said, I'd still love to get a crack at this!
That was a solid first level and excellent concept.
It makes me happy that there are still people out there who do this kind of stuff, and to be honest, I think the hacks are better than originals.
That knight and skeleton in the background look like they're arguing over a badly parked horse or something.
Great job.i love castlevania
X666
Very well produced, level design and gameplay. Could you put the music of the second boss different from the first one, like the one that plays on stage 6 of the original game.
Seria muito bom se pudesse acrescentar algumas habilidades extras como um dash igual ao do alucard e tals mas o game em si e muito bom
Honestly, is better than I expected. Some areas are a bit confused but the level design is quite good.
Time refill item would be a nice addition.
When you saw that Konami logo and music you knew it was going to be a good game
I like the option of where you want to go which was lacking in the original it was linear
Mano essa é uma hack muito boa, mas dava pra esse cara ter repartido a primeira fase em umas 3, mas mesmo assim, é muito boa a hack
Konami jingle in beginning brings back so much nostalgia
Nice Hack with a unique map and background 😎🤙
SCV4 was my all time favorite. When will this be done I will buy the finished product. At least someone doing something new when Konami want give us a new Castlevania.
Awesome hack, but some levels drag on for a bit too much.
I want to see the Sir Grakul battle. That would be awesome.
This is a work in progress right? It has some nice bones to it so far.
Excellent work. I can’t imagine the monster thighs on that guy to jump 9 feet in the air wearing 110 lbs of armor.
This was amazing.
Nice to see they made a game out of that unmade Schwarzenegger/Verhoeven Crusade movie from the 1990s.
The swinging sections are wild 😂
Looks pretty cool
Quite good, but levels drag for too long and with the same track becomes monotonous.
wow this is a good looking hack can't wait to try it ouit when it's done.
Oh wow this is superb
This is freaking epic! Deus vult ✝️
I NEED THIS NOW
muto Legal esta Hack Castlevania: The Bloody Crusade 👍🏻 🎮
Great stuff!
This is really good!
really nice hack, maybe fixing the timer issue so players can have enough time to enjoy the stage
this genre need to bring back 2D games as series games again.
Check out Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon 1 and 2, other than that.. yeah they do.
The bloody tears is awesome but got too repetitive, hopefully it will change in the final version .
Hablando del diablo y el que se aparece, que loco el hack.
Is the opening crawl deliberate Engrish?
Looks like they are hanging out with the Skeletons
CNA someone educate me? This is an actual fan made game or was modded from ... Super Castlevania ?
Should have been called Castlevania: The very little Bloody Crusade. So many bloodless creatures to fight.
Note didn’t alter intro sprite character ha.
Yeah... I'm pretty sure you can move like a Belmont with the weight of that armor 🤣
The Game loops after you beat the final boss.
Some basic proofreading could have easily been done on that opening.
Got that right.
How come I can't find a copy of this game or Castlevania 5 it's like they don't exist.
I always hated SNES-NES games' 'time limit' mechanic. I know it adds another level of challenge, but i feel games are meant to be enjoyed and delved into..
Oh that is a nice idea.
2D is more fun than 3D.
Not bad not bad.
It s a pretty design X3
