  • You'll hear a surprising, if not shocking, English translation of the Biblical story of the first human's banishment from the Garden of Eden as Aramaic scholar Dr. Rocco Errico shares a fresh interpretation of the ancient scripture. Find out why the text uses a serpent to lure humans to eat from the “Tree of Knowledge of Good and Bad,” and how the Aramaic depicts the creation of woman as evidence of her equal status with man. You’ll also find out how the motif of a garden is significant to the cultures of the ancient Near East and Mesopotamia.

So Adam was not a man until Eve was made from him?

Screaming Eagle yes. That’s what he explains. You can see how in the bible is written “man and woman he created them”. (Sorry because I speak Spanish so haven’t read the bible in English). But the thing is that adam was first hermaphrodite, and once god took the woman from him, then both male and female were separated. God extracted the female side from Adam. So Adam turned into a man. Pretty interesting. 🤯

Oh dear , so you are saying that original sin , putting ourselves in the place of GOD was something "bad " and not something evil .
