YES! I've eaten there enough to have a table with my name on it! It's where I was introduced to Swaggerty's sausage. I couldn't get it back then in KY. so I always took 2 pounds home with me. Now I can buy it at WalMart. The food and service is the same as it was in 1979, superb food and friendly people. They used to have a legit supper buffet, it was great also . Thanks for sharing!
Haven’t eaten there in many years. A group that I camped with in the mountains during the 80’s loved it. We would go there almost every morning to eat. There was no big line back then! Their bacon back then was divine.

I have to say best scramble eggs I’ve eaten were my mother in law’s during the sixties when camping on Kerr Lake, Va. it all looked great and I love the atmosphere. Thanks for taking us along.

For decades our very favorite breakfast stop in Gatlinburg. Outstanding coffee! They told us they use JFG brand. Pancakes are delicious! Definitely worth the wait.

The Log Cabin Pancake House is a longtime favorite of mine. The Log Cabin is a popular place to come and enjoy a meal. The food is country and it is so good. I often order the buttermilk pancake stack with pecans. Add butter and that dark maple syrup along with a side of sausage links. They still serve JFG Coffee out of Knoxville, TN. The staff is friendly and appreciative of your business. They work hard to keep your coffee cup full and to make you feel at home. If something’s not right, just let them know and they will do their best to fix it for you. They want you to leave full and happy. All of this together makes for a high-value meal. We were there in October. They had a beautiful fire going. Service was excellent and good food. Like the Pexan Waffle, hash browns and coffee Then we drove Roaring Fork Motor Trsil, beautiful! Then shopping at Food City. City

Yes the gravy needs to be scorched in the skillet to give it a darker color and more body of flavor but then again I was raised by parents from Wise county VA. Everything else looked beautiful. Thanks for the video

Definite go to place ..get there early and there's no line. You have to try their Country Ham with Red Eye Gravy. And all their custom pancakes are delicious as well as their crepes. We'll be there the end of the month, can't wait!! ~Janet

One of our favorite places to eat when we are there. However the lines were too long when we were there the week after Christmas so we didn't go there. Will be back in the Spring before it gets so busy.
Lots of good places to eat there. Did you see the Goat Coaster? Or the Goats on the roof restaurant? Look on Wears Valley Road for live goats roaming around on the rooftop.

Thanks for this review! We have been by there several times but never stopped. Was you there early like 8 or so? I was wondering what is the best time to go to avoid the crowd. We are early risers so going early is no problem for us. The food looked really good and for the food you had, the price wasn’t too bad.
Mike, you are NOT getting too picky. Log Cabin was always our go to breakfast place, but last time we ate there, they chopped my eggs up so small they they were basically just powder and I haven't been back since. They do have good biscuits though...I always ask for some apple butter.
Please just one time, try mustard on your gravy & biscuits. My grandparents got us eating that back in the 70's when I was a kid, and to this day, all my family eat's mustard on our gravy & biscuits. My mother has my grandmothers gravy recipe, and it's awesome! She makes it for us every Christmas, and my brothers, and me look forward to eating that, more than anything else. :-)
If we're staying in town on our visits and can't get into Pancake Pantry we go to Log Cabin. If we're staying little farther from town we frequent our favorite local mom & pop.
