I feel investors should be focusing on under-the-radar stocks, and considering the current rollercoaster nature of the stock market, Because 35% of my $270k portfolio comprises of plummeting stocks which were once revered and i don't know where to go here out of devastation
Safest approach i feel to tackle it is to diversify investments. By spreading investments across different asset classes, like bonds, real estate, and international stocks, they can reduce the impact of a market meltdown
No doubt, having the right plan is invaluable. My portfolio is well-matched for every season of the market and recently hit 100% rise from early last year. I and my CFP are working on a 7 figure ballpark goal, though this could take till Q3 2024.
This is definitely considerable! think you could suggest any professional/advisors i can get on the phone with? I'm in dire need of proper portfolio allocation.
"Shoe Dog" one of the the best book i have read. Managed to read and digest within 2 days which is a big achievement by my standard. Truly inspirational guy and his trial and tribulation in making amazing company/brand.
This is one of my most humble watching interviews I've ever watched .....it's so easy to hear that these two gentelmen speak so candidly easy to each other.....Best interview ever........
Just finished reading Shoe Dog. And, this very interview inspired me to read .You could literally imagine him talking to you through the book. What a man Phil is. Just unbelievably relentless...(and ofcourse the sense of humour..)
Big inspiration I love Mr. Phil, funny enough I discovered him as the CEO/founder of Nike in 2023 and I have fallen in love with him this fast, as young ceo/founder of event company I’m poised to emulate is steps and value evaluation principles. Wish you more life. I admire his confidence or u can say ego but it’s fine ✅
He didn’t have skills or the money but he has a gift something you either born with it or not. He has the gift of seeing people for who they are. And knew how to assembled them and work with them and build something special with them. The way he talks shows that even today he still like that. By the way he answer the questions. Amazing his brain still fast and thinking so clear.
Even if you are not into buisness, you might find few important life lessons in it... as I did. This book has helped me when I was at my lowest. Shoe Dog is awesome!
What really made his story great was the community he created! The people he hired were more obsessed then him to grow Nike which is what I dream off, finding “my people”
I am going to read the book. I got to work on projects through Longitudes Group. Excellent attitude for family health. Thanks Mr. Knight. You are a rose.
Two interesting things Phil mentioned: NBA’s ban of AJ1 was a great marketing opportunity. And manufacturing in developed countries will be a reality supported by automation. Great interviewer and guest speaker. Amazing job!
I'm half way through the book and this interview jumps to the promotion of star athletes. The book "Shoe Dog", was more about the humble beginnings of the company way before it became a giant publicly traded company. In the beginning Saloman who was Knights partner and track couch was a fanatic about running and running shoes, which explains a lot about the success. They were really obsessed w/ shoes, with making them better.
Working with a financial expert could truly set you up for life. I'm delighted I was able to contact my coach Karim .E. Karim earlier this year because while others were busy whining about the downturn I was busy cashing out finally making over 370k only for the first quarter of the year.
Thank you for sharing your success story. I immediately typed in your coach's name to discover him on Google. He's simple to deal with, and his signals are excellent as well.
@@lynnpeterson3763 Working alongside Karim .E. Karim has taught me that quitting bad habits, such as procrastination, distractions, and doubts, would significantly increase your capacity to accomplish your life's objectives and accumulate savings for investments.
He articulates so well , I remember he gave a jaw dropping one liner reply to Kitami which revived the Nike , may be the elite of the elite , these founder are such an eloquent fellows.
My sons had baby Nike hightops shoes. I was placed in Womens Hightop Basketball when pregnant in an inner city school and I have seen a life sentence prisioner wear Nike high tops. Strong observations with Nike.
David : why do you wear sunglasses all the time ? Phil : because the future is so bright, i wear them all the time damn , didn't see that comin , great lesson! Thanks again David & Phil
New Balance makes some of their shoes in the USA. Nike spends so much money on endorsements and marketing they need to keep their manufacturing in China.

She appears to be well-educated and well-read. I ran an online search on her name and came across her website; thank you for sharing

David Rubenstein making these interviews... asking these questions, esp on giving and mortality, of other people to get answers for himself.
Considering Shoe Dog was one of my favorite books, this interview was right on the money!

8:45 if he gave the logo designer 500 shares valued today at $100 per share how is that worth $1M? Even 5000 shares doesn’t equal $1M
500 shares in 1983 split a bunch ( about 8 times)
He looks so old and fatigued, but sounds so sharp and young. Wow

These two are a decade apart in age. Instead, they look like father and son.
