1) I have a c8 and I was adjusting the disk break clamp this morning only lol 2) Normally, steel spokes rust over time and this holds them permanently. Alloy spokes maybe be coming loose. 3) The brakes are crap. My other cycle which has the old rim brakes using 5rs shoes can hold me still on a 45 degree downhill road. These disk brake pad(150rs) are unreliable and has already caused accidents. 4) The pedals feel hard even with gears. Because we are trying to roll the heavy motor wheel. I always keep it on 28t. 5) It isnt waterproof. I have opened the motor and there is a single O-ring inside in the name of water protection. 6) I have climbed 45 degree uphill roads using combination of throttle and 28t pedal.
I bought lectro c6e which is available online only. I have compared it's components with C8, and the component quality is worse on c6e. Same problems with chain, crank etc as you described here but worse. Once my battery stopped working after a pothole and the support of local dealer was abysmal. They tried charging me for changing the controller, and when i stressed on warranty, they simply changed one fuse and charged me 800 rs for the same. Badly handled bike by them, the on off switch had been badly tempered and is loose. I ultimately stopped using it due to its pathetic quality.
That is disappointing! Warranty claims are hassle free when an actual dealer is involved, they try to sort it out since the reputation of their shop would be at stake.
The only difference I know is that the new version uses Panasonic 3180mah 18650 cells which drop to 2700mah after 500 cycles. Also the new model uses an RF ID key to power it on. Kids always turn on the old model with one click and bend the spokes.

Do you think the C8i has any improvements over the C8 aside from bluetooth?

I also have have same bike , how to fix spoke issue forever ?
One solution could be to change the entire spokes and nipples
Change the alloy nipples with steel ones. The threads will rust mildly in a year and hold them in place permanently.
