The name of the captain of squad 3 is: Rojuro Otoribashi, Only his closest friends call him Rose. Being a captain you will notice that they will address him as Captain Otoribashi rather than as Rose.
Just in case you wonder why Toshiro welcomes back Hyorinmaru when he recovers his bankai (and by extension why he stated he could no longer hear his voice when he got stolen), because how would he still be able to use Shikai if his Zanpakuto spirit was stolen along with his bankai, Kubo recently gave the answer:
"Shikai is the state in which the wielder's power is reflected onto the sword. Bankai is the state in which in which the ego that was subsenquently born has been developped and manifested."
Basically, the medallion the Sternritters use to steal Bankai do steal the Zanpakuto spirit to do so, and the reason they can still use Shikai despite that is because Shikai actually isn't part of the Zanpakuto spirit. This explains both thing which have already happened, like why White Zangetsu could take over more easily when Ichigo used Bankai, and things still to come.
What surprised me most about Kubos' answer is "the wielders 'power* is reflected into the sword."
Which basically means the Shikai ability comes from their own innate power.
So most Shinigamis "power/abilities" are already set before they get a Zanpakutou like we've even seen with Toshiro
@@muchoyurdem5260 What's more, Kubo also said that Yhwach doesn't decide which power is granted by a Schrif, he only knows in advance what the result of giving the Schrift will be. As such, it's quite resonable to assume Zanpakuto and Schrifts are 2 sides of the same coin, 2 different ways of awakening the same abilities already present within one's soul.

But yeah it makes sense as Bleaches powersytem and also the whole premise is about "Souls" so every being has their own "innate" power.
Quincys also have Chants (spells) similar to Shinigamis Kid.
Basically, everything stems from a Soul.

They don't really show it much, but I really like the dynamic between the overly sarcastic and flippant Shinji and the very earnest and friendly Momo as his lieutenant.

Glad to see you again so soon! Now komamura is one of my favorites so glad you got to see the glow up! In fact Kubo recently said that he could've retained his human form if only abandoned his wish to revenge but sadly he was already consumed... Also that OST for shinji is called everything i lost.

Komamura's human form was their clan's original form before they were cursed into becoming half-beast (wolf head). But to revert into that original form they had to use the Jinka technique and it was not even a permanent transformation. The consequences to this is that it transforms them into full beast. The clan elder probably had used the technique in the past too.
I’m glad I found another Bleach youtuber. Can’t wait to see more of your reactions to TYBW episodes. This anime has been my favorite for the longest. I love that it was revived after a long rest. It’s even getting an arena fighter game I was wishing for when I used to play Storm 4.
Maybe I'm trippin' because it was a "blink an' ya' missed it" scene, but when Urahara was sending out those bankai-hollofication pills, and only soil reapers with a bankai could absorb them, I cvould have sworn that both Ikkaku AND Yumichika got one! Is this a subtle hint that Yumichika has a bankai?

But again, about hinamori's appearance in this cour was like she's doing anything she can but at the same time, some people really forgot how hinamori get violated everytime by aizen. 🙂
And her captain, shinji get violated as well after he did such an amazing job on the last episode was so amazing, and btw, his bankai wasn't in the Manga, so, it means this information was really new to the Manga readers as well. And his OST was so absolutely fire, that it is so calm and chilling that it is so relaxing 🤯✨
(granted, all OSTs from bleach are beautiful and better, nothing compares to the other anime.)
About what happened to komamura is like his redemption after what happened in karakura town, I think. That's because he really didn't do much back then, and that damn aizen beaten him such in a disrespectful way 😭😭
Btw, on Bambi scene, them girls really creeping me out, especially the black haired one, you'll see why in the next few episodes. And the fight with shuhei and other two against the wrestling guy was so astonished in a bad way that the masked guy really disrespecting our boys especially shuhei on that grabbing his chain clip 🥺😭

[Tidbits & Clarifications] [Ep.3]
- The original manga didn't achieve everything Kubo wanted, mostly because of health reasons, in specific he was drawing this final arc with a wrist and shoulder injury If I recall. So we get tons of new content in this anime adaptation.
- Shinji's Bankai is an example of that new content as it only occurs later in light novels. The scene was quick because they had to find space to shove it in so here is a more concise explanation
: It inverts the perception of Allies and Enemies. Therein all of those caught within his Bankai view their friends and partners as enemies, thus they begin killing each other. Basically Teaming up against Shinji is a bad idea, however Shiniji can't use when he allies are near because they also turn on each other.
- The idea that Quincy's grudge against hollows is one based on fear of death is an important bit to remember, especially since most or much of these ideas come from Yhwach.
- This episode does great at showing just how dangerous Soi Fons Bankai is, many fans believe her Bankai is weak for some odd reason. Many also argue that it's too simple, which is the point because Soi Fon is pretty blunt and straightforward and emotionally explosive as we've further witnessed throughout this arc.
- Some forget the relationship between Urahara and Mayuri and that Mayuri is an extremely prideful scientist, so he hates being compared to Urahara and is partly seeking to surpass/out-do him. It Cannot be overlooked that Mayuri was genuinely willing to cut contact with Urahara who had vital info just because he bugged his outfit.

We never saw Shinji's bankai before even in the manga this was an anime first showcase. His shikai is only a visual flip for a single enemy, where as his bankai forces all enemies to see him as an ally and all allies to see him as an enemy. That's why he had to wait until only enemies were around before using bankai.

[Tidbits & Clarifications][Ep.4][Lot of Writing, Sorry lol]
- Komamura and the Beast Clan are based on the Buddhist concept of "The Beast Realm" beings that are personified by their subservience to their instinctual and selfish desires. The appearance of the Beast Clan here in Bleach is due to a curse which is a punishment for the sins they've committed in life.
- Here Komamura has given his heart, his very life for his cause, and in this case it's for revenge. This is a through-line setup with his conflict with Tosen, who he condemned for seeking revenge, and just like Tosen Komamura is left here an empty hollow man, which is a pretty potent message. (Komamura giving his heart is also a nod to his line when he was speaking to Tosen before he died. He said: "If I lost you, I would have a hole in my heart")
- As noted, Quincy are depicted as angelic, they dress in all white and have wings when they use Volstanding, where as Shinigami are death gods who dress in all black, this speaks to the very gray nature of Bleach as a story and actually is a nice hint to larger lore implications.
- Kubo-Sensei wanted to include the Irazusando theme in the manga, but due to certain restraints, he couldn't. So In the Blu-Ray we actually get to learn what this training actually does. [These are comments by the series director]

The Irazusando pathway tries to push people away from the stone road, the more one tries to resist the push, the heavier the bokuto (wooden sword) gets. Ichigo dragged his feet forward to not stray away from the stony pathway, and the pathway of Irazusando is actually 'cursed. As one walks through the Irazusando road, they are not supposed to look at the stone path, but focus on the torii-gate instead. Ichigo suffered because his gaze was on the stone. The heavier his steps became, the torii-gate turned whiter and whiter. The rain that falls outside makes the body decay, so if Ichigo had strayed off the road, his body would have rotted away.

Irazusando road is depicted as an 'Inka hall'. 'Inka' means a philosophical 'seal' in which obtaining the seal is considered to be the highest form of understanding of one's innermost soul. 'Inka' translates to 'transmission' in which a student receives his teacher's philosophies. Here, Ichigo's zen buddhist teacher is the monk, and Ichigo obtains the seal from Ichibe Hyosube, which is meant to uplift or evolve Ichigo's soul.
[Sidenote: The Humanification technique has always been interesting to me, metaphorically it seems that to be Human means having desire yet the aspect that makes you a beast is giving into those desires despite knowing what harm may come from it.]
