    This is very informative. Been calling banks and researching for the best debit and credit cards to use abroad, but banks were giving me vague answers like % blah blah blah which I couldn't understand.     Thanks for the video…I never realised that CIMB re-adjusted the amount, when I used it abroad I thought it didn’t have as good an exchange rate as GCash.

    Thank you for the update! Napanood ko yung previous video mo about this. You're the reason I decided to register for a cimb account at kumuha ng debit card nila. Pati rin yung gcash mastercard. As much as possible I don't want to use my main bank's debit cards abroad eh.

    I always use my BPI debit card when withdrawing abroad! Lugi pala haha I’ll get a gcash and cimb card. Thanks for this. 🙂 I have a Maya card, I’ll try to use it as well on my travel next month to compare rates with gcash and cimb.

    This is really informative! I've been using my local debit card to withdraw cash abroad . And yes, I always maximize withdrawal to absorb the foreign bank transaction fee. I thought I had the best deal na. 😅 Good to know may Gcash mastercard and CIMB pa pala.

      150 pesos lang naman ata po ang withdrawal fee abroad. So it isn't much if you withdraw larger amount.

    Do you still need to inform your bank that you will use your traditional cards abroad? How do you do it with your digital banks’ cards?

      I think it's best to always inform your bank when travelling abroad to prevent your card from being blocked. They might find it suspicious that you're using your card in a different country and interpret your transactions as fraudulent.

    You forgot to mention, before going abroad, you need to call BPI agent to open your card. So much hassle. The operator forgot to open my card in Europe and gave me a headache over 3 weeks there. It’s pointless. I started to looked for some alternatives after that trauma

    I used my BPI debit card when I was on indonesia very easy and ok ang conversion compare sa pinalit namin ang USD to IDR. Planning to use it again sa Japan trip ko but I'm looking for alternatives buti napunta ako dito ❤ Joined kaskasan buddies din and lifted my worry of having 2 cc

      max withdrawal usually nasa 50K pesos siya.
      it depends kasi like sa taiwan walang withdrawal fee so sulit yun pero some countries may withdrawal fee

      CC yung mga reco ko pa rin na low forex, if you want to use debit go with gcash visa or cimb visa

    Tried gcash in japan, Australia and us. Much lower ang rate when it comes to card payment compared to alipay. Much convenient than bpi debit mc. So much reliable and gcash card both mc or visa. Bihira ko na gamitin ang CC ko. Will try atome next time. Thanks for the informative video.

      You can use them to pay anywhere MasterCard and Visa are accepted. I have used both my GCash and CIMB cards in the UK, Poland, Greece, Malaysia, Thailand, Japan and South Korea.

    Hello po ask kolang po saan pong atm banks pwede mag withdraw gamit yung unionpay ko na 10k up pwede iwithdraw na di ganun kalaki yung trans fee or less 250 kasi po laki ng bawas once nag wiwithdraw po ako at dilang po 250 pesos yun may kasama pang local fee na 18 pesos sana po masagot thnks
