I hope they had done economical feasibility of this tunnel. $1.1B seems like questionable spending for 40km route saving not directly connected to the highway.
It was essential & groundbreaking project for not only whole South Asia but also South East Asia. .. This tunnel & other infrastructures like this will revolutionize connectivity in whole Asia. .. not to mention this tunnel raised & added 1% of Bangladesh GDP. .. Cina builds USA b0mbs.
