My daughter was being bullied by another girl in her class (age 9) and no matter how much I asked the school to intervene they wouldn't. This girl would lie to the teacher saying my daughter was throwing things at her in class, along with other lies to get her in trouble. She would push her, hit her and pull her hair. One day my daughter had enough, she pushed the girl over after being slapped in the playground, took the girls coat and shoved it into the bin. She then turned to her and said "now your jacket will smell just as bad as your attitude" Words couldn't describe how proud I was of her. The bully moved schools at the end of the term and now she's enjoying school like she should.

Also just the extra metal seeping into the water, from the pennies especially, could be toxic to them. I am surprised the zoo would not realize that and put up signs, or have someone watch the place and stop people from doing that, and also clean up the ones that were already in there. I really hate zoos, especially if they don't take proper care of the animals they have. That's what a lot of them are like too.

So this is a story about me that I honestly don't remember happening because I was so young. I lived in a big town where no one (and I do mean no one) was black for the longest time, so I had never seen someone that wasn't white and didn't know other colors existed.
A family moved in one summer and they went to the pool on the same day we did. Swimming in the pool, I bumped into a black kid my age and upon seeing him, I thought he had gotten a really really bad sunburn.
According to my mom, I came out of the pool holding the boy's hand and asked her if we could buy him some ice cream to help him not feel sad. That is when I learned about different skin colors.
Apparently, I was so relieved to learn he wasn't sunburnt to a crisp and we played together for the rest of the time we were there.
    I remember none of this.
