I guess that is something you get used to very quickly once you know it, but it's not easily discoverable I think. They should've announced that more prominently. And if you've check the Ubuntu Phone vids, you'll notice it could be done better (at least if you ask me). Even custom roms don't ask you to learn something new and just put it in a bar at the top of the notification screen. =)

The note 2 already has the keyboard swipe feature in the stock keyboard..you just go into the settings.
