@@TheAckeePlant i know i'm a little late to reply but i think when you do have a lot of experience with skiing you tend to do more of the crazy shit. for example going down some ofroad tiny path in a forest. I myself skii atleast 1 time a year and has been for the past 13 years but i don't like going down the crazy paths and hills and so i don't. If you skii on the type of slope nick and melena went on you will either have to be INSANELY unlucky or be an expert on breaking your own bones to come out of it with any sort of major injury. hope this helps you!

It’s super safe, but I understand why you would be terrified the first time (also, and I weird for wanting to have a glass bottom gondola.) what’s super scary is goong over a canyo about that size on a 40 year old 2 person chair with no bar. But the snow was worth it. Or, that one life in crested butte that takes you to the bowl with all the twin ropes. You come over this crest and it’s sheer fucking vertical, super trippy and made my gut drop the first time I did it. And both of them have fire fits, lookin dope out their. SEND IT!

I travelled from the kootenays (south east BC) to whistler just for my grad trip cause I love snowboarding, whistler is fuckin sweet I highly recommend! Littler hills are way cheaper though so maybe come to the kootenays, we have like 6 ski hills to choose from and they’re all 1/4 the price of whistler
For those who haven’t gone skiing…the trick is to cut wide to the right and then cut wide to the left down the hill to control your speed. Your skis pretty much always remain perfectly parallel. When you first learn they teach you how to Pizza (cross your skis) to control your speed. This is what Nick was doing. It’s super tiring and doesn’t work for steep hills. It’s a game changer when you learn to let that technique go. Skiing instantly gets more fun and you feel a lot more in control.

I went skiing once and it was some of the most fun I’ve ever had in my life. I ate shit like 8 times but would still highly recommend
