This was actually a throw away song given to their previously collaborative partner PUBG Mobile. The reason why it was a throw away is because this was not up to par to something they'd release. This was recordings during the Light Up the Sky Netflix documentary clipped and collected and that's how the whole song was "leaked" and eventually when people loved it and it was already leaked they went ahead to do their finishing touches in their demos and sent it to pubg with clips and videos for the choreography and visual. People talking trash on the editing and animation towards YG should redirect that to PUBG Game Designers themselves. This song was not their "releasable" song. Imagine what the planned ones that they're happy to release.
In Light Up the Sky Teddy commented that they had a lot of music "in here" meaning his computer 90% of which we'll probably never hear. Whether or not RFL was originally planned to be released we'll never know. I'm sure BP could take that 90% and spin out track after track and make an s-ton of money but that's not them and never will be them. I would rather they do a comeback every 2yrs with mind blowing music then an endless stream of 'average' songs every month or two.

BlackPink did a concert on PubG called "The Virtural" with this as part of the concert... 4 days in July As you mentioned we heard some of the song in "Light Up The Sky", when they were in the studio with Teddy. About the animation... it just doesn't match, for any of them(you know it's them... BUT). However it is for a game, NOT a movie. The tech is there to do it very well (ie Alita:Battle Angle, LOTRs, etc.) Like the song... but I want to see THEM. I knew what this was going into it so I wasn't expecting anything else, so I'm NOT dissapointed. This is a gift to blinks... and probably doesn't fit the new concept.

It must of took 2 years to make the virtual material for this song and the concert. PubG had all the songs used in the concert and this song, so there are so many areas the music could have been leaked through out the 2 years
