Whitney pointing to Mike and singing....that was her way of saying "I get it, and we're gonna make it, honey". They were both going through it and still pushed on! And of course, they both left us in similar ways. RIP to MJ and Whitney 💔
Usher is fucking garbage....I hate that fucking guy....he's horrible, out of tune, tone def, falsetto is weak, embarrassing...MJ didn't even record that song all the way through.
You got that absolutely right! She brought the star power fitting for Michael Jackson. Notice how the energy just went up, the key picked up. It had been flat, lackluster, but she walks in right from that moment, you know she’s a superstar. And then she goes over and shares a moment directly with Michael. She knew how to bring it! Miss ya!!!
Whitney Houston walked in like" Playtime is Over Kids" , Let me show you how ADULTS PERFORM , No flips or booty shakin needed. My Singing Gone Be Enough 😆😆😆 .
Usher and Mya were honored to be performing for Michael and to be on stage with Whitney. It really showed. I love this performance and it never gets old for me.
Mama Nippy walked out there like "I ain't come to play with y'all. This is for Mike." Rest in Peace, Michael Joseph Jackson and Whitney Elizabeth Houston. Love you both.
There is something so tragic but also beautiful about this performance. To see the two of them, both at possibly one of their lowest points in life like mirror images of each other. And yet, even though their light is dimmed and the illusion of the perfect wonder girl and the american dream boy has come tumbling down at that point, their talent and soul still comes through like lightning. When Whitney marches onto that stage singing his lyrics every other performer on stage is forgotten. Hold your head up high and scream out to the world I know I am someone So let the truth unfurl Noone can hurt me now Cause you know it's true Yes I believe in me So you believe in you!
.....her performance...was......art....at it's most poignant....i was really moved by the 2 of them that night....the 2nd time she said.....AND YOUR PAIN IS THUNDER....i just shook my head...smiled at her through my tears....it was so soulful of her to sing it so quickly ...adding her own touch to it all....as tragic as she obviously was...she was once again THE QUEEN OF THE NIGHT....
I miss Michael everyday and I listen on his songs on daily basis.. It’s so sad and tragic to think how they wasted themselves.. God gave them every thing in abundance.. Most of the ppl can only dream of they things they achieved in life.. Whitney was magical.. Rest in peace u guys..
Energy. Whitney stormed that stage with Angry Mama energy protecting her brother ( in music) Michael. No denying of her talent / vocal ability and craftmanship of the stage. It was like...." Dress back babies....i got this."
Whitney is a legend. She was not playing. She came on stage like somebody's mama who was called to the parent-teacher conference after hearing that their child was acting up in school!!!!!!! She was looking like "WHERE'S MY BELT AT"!!!!!!!!!!!! Then MJ @ 3:42 lookin like the polite teacher that wants to intervene while the momma is screaming at the child!!!!! MJ wasn't even performing and stilled killed the performance!!!!!! They are legends and music royalty that blessed the world with their rare talents. R.I.P legends!!!!
She still killed it! Back then I didn’t notice her performance because she was really thin, but looking back at this she put all her issues aside and came through for MJ!

@@moxyblackfiddler yes that’s very true but everyone knows that Whitney was at one of her lowest points and to our knowledge because we don’t know Maya and usher wasn’t lol and for Whitney to be at one of her lowest points, she sounded amazing, that is my opinion and I’m sticking to it lol oh yeah , Mya and Usher didn’t sound good to me, once again that’s my opinion 💜
Despite her flaws that dang Whitney knows how to bring life to a show! I miss her so much. I don't care about people saying they had to add weight to her for the cameras or anything else because BABY THEY COULD NOT ADD WEIGHT TO THAT VOICE AND THEY CERTAINLY COULDN'T ADD WEIGHT TO THAT PERFORMANCE! WHITNEY YOU SLAYED CHIC!
Nikki 2017 Whitney was high as a kite in this performance she look like a crackhead That needed a meal. Are you people are like oh she put the show she bought the show she probably does even know she was there.
WHITNEY was DIFFERENT! She wasn’t a dancer but she filled that entire AUDITORIUM with her stage presence! She was one of THE GREATS!!!! Usher and Maya were like backup singers and dancers in comparison, no disrespect to them but WHITNEY HAD THAT THING!!!! RIP WHITNEY AND MICHAEL
The proof that Whitney could sing anything is here. I have a hard time enjoying other people singing MJs songs but Whitney... oh my gosh! That was amazing. Her vocals amazed everyone, no matter what song she was singing. And Wanna Be Starting Something is not an easy song.
This performance is EVERYTHING!!!!! It’s HIGH Broadway theatre like Lion King vibes, like Usher is fire, with his acrobatic moves, Mya is beautiful, and WHITNEY though Wow the voice. She’s like one who could sing MJ’s stuff and make it sound awesome which is TOUGH. Just the queen. Truly a testament to the high caliber standard that MJ forwarded in entertainment.
Yes the power in Whitney’s performance is all I need. She commanded that stage with dozens of dancers and made the focus about her and MJ. Perfectly done
I often think if only she had only been styled differently…the critics would’ve been hushed😭😭 cause she tore this performance right up! Walked out like a Queen ready to take back her throne 👸🏽
The amounts of time I would rewind the tape to learn the dance 😂. So in awe of the choreography and every dancer was👌. Ush and Mya did that! Whitney effortlessly sang that!!!!
Only few artists have this extra something. Even when they are at their lowest they will still stand out, without any tricks..just by being themselves and adding that extra heart&soul❤🙌🏼✨⚡️
The energy Whitney brought to the stage boosted the crowd, MJ, and Usher and Mya!!! Wow what an amazing artist Whitney was and the shift in the crowd proves this. You can tell they were kinda shocked at her appearance, but once she started singing that shit and hitting them moves the crowd went CRAZY!!! Sounded like a MJ or Whitney concert 😂🕊️RIP to the king and queen of pop🕊️🕊️
Whitney was unique in that she personified the struggle not looking good physically, but looking pretty much tore up, and performing anyway. And rather good... Michael was elated..Is like he was saying..Go ahead Whitney.. We did this..!
This was so fun to watch Mya has such an amazing stage presence. They chose the right three people for this song. And another thing I knew Whitney was going to church this song L O L 😂😂👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

She absolutely smashed it. I watch this a couple of times a year it's so good.
Whitney didn’t have to do too much, her voice carries her performance.

Her lil 2 steps were enough
She can work a stage though. Her energy and voice are both just so magnificently powerful!
She was getting it tho. 😂 Miss her

Usher and Mya were honored to be performing for Michael and to be on stage with Whitney. It really showed. I love this performance and it never gets old for me.
Really? Usher hit bad notes through the whole song. Mya's first note was terrible and she was offbeat. What were YOU listening to?
Whitney's stage presence and voice was absolutely insane. She and Michael were extremely powerful, even at their lowest.
She made Mya and Usher look like toddlers playing dressup
They had usher and mya killing themselves with choreography 😅😂and Whitney came out like a Queen. They danced for HER!
"They had usher and mya killing themselves with choreography"

MIKEY MELANIN KING in an interview in 1985 with Michael Jackson he says that the song Wanna Be Startin Somethin has an African tone
Nick Berg that is true. the makossa part is a one from a cameroonian musician called Manu di Bango
wish they would go back to Africa. Specially the ones who say they are African-American, NO SUCH THING.
susan heath right. Bitch we would be in Africa if your lazy ass ancestors didn't touch us.
Whitney does magic in the end and MJ is clearly emotional. Sadly both of them are gone and so is the Magic.
