One reason I prefer the calendar to the stand is just the item selection. The stand is mostly used as a dumping ground for unused or obscure items, which is good in the way that they're becoming more available, but it really hurts the whole holiday energy. Almost all of the calendar's selection was very winter/holiday focused which really added to the vives, while you're lucky if even half of the stand's selection even matches the season. In all honesty, when I heard that the calendar was removed last year I was devastated. That calendar became one of me and my friends’ favorite part when logging on in December, we’d hurry to school, and once we had free time in our class, we’d log on and see what color of the item we got. But once I told them that the calendar was removed, it felt like a key memory of ours was just shattered. Honestly? This video explained a lot for me, I’m glad we finally got an answer. i miss the old calendar for sure. this is just a downgrade, bought membership for the calendar after years of missing jamaalidays just to be disappointed with the shop… there was something so nice about opening a little present everyday, now its lost the charm i feel…
On one hand: I like how the new system gives you the ability to buy as many as you want On the other hand: I do not like that all the variants are locked behind member items, especially when the item was previously all nonmember for all variants- or just in general (I hate when they make rims of nonmember items into member items lmao). It’s like 2015 all over again where nonmembers just can’t buy color variants- except it’s worse because nonmembers can’t even wear the variants. Another thing I don’t like is the fact there’s up to 10 color variants for some items,, I would love if we’d switched to just 8… I wish there was a way to fix the gift calendar, but then I remember even the play old gift calendar is just broken in general! There’s 2 days for member gifts that will not open. Additionally, at the point of the video at the masterpiece token, The one thing I like though that they fixed is they added a rare tag to old authentically promo rings.
