It's happened to me in Mali, Senegal, Togo, even our next door neighbours, Benin. If you have the money, just pay to avoid the stress. Someone should've briefed you about this before you left Gidi. I believe you people will make it to Dakar. What you are doing is important. All the best.
I am Guinean (Guinea Conakry) you could have taken the Labe Koundara road to the border with senegal which would have allowed you to avoid going through Guinea Bissau it is a good road as welload
You are right, they didn't ask questions, they took the wrong route ,why leave Sierra leone going to Gambia then you pass through Bissau, that's the wrong route ,next time ask questions Kenneth ,it's all your fault ,you don't go to Ganbia and pass through Bissau ,it's Sierra Leone, Guinea then Gambia direct ,using the route mentioned in this comment above ,..know your route ,your fault guys
