I have been married for 8 plus years and I am glad to say,this is what my household has been like, always..my husband fed up from his corporate job, took a break for few years. I earned well,he managed the house. Now we moved to another country because I got a better job and he can work remotely, he looks after the our son after childcare and works for reduced hours to manage things. Your role should not be defined by your gender period

It is true but it is really hard to change the mindset of some stereotyped families who think otherwise.
We always thought that financial responsibility is always on boys.... But it's wrong.... Both girls and boys are equally capable and responsible for their own finances😊😊☺☺
You need to study the Indian Laws . As per laws even if a wife is earning in crore and husband in lakhs, the husband is fully liable for upkeep of his wife , legally, whereas wife has no responsibility towards husband as far as financial responsibility is concerned

I know our laws are not gender-neutral, and I know things like there's no law for marital rape; for gender-neutral spousal violence; and there are hindu fimily laws like that of a woman legally belonging to the groom's family after marrying him; if she dies and has no biological child, her property legally goes to groom's family; that by shariyat law, Muslim men are legally eligible to marry 4 wives; that of the eldest male being the head of the family, and in every stupid identity documents only the father's or the husband's name appears as kinda "legal gurdian" (except for passport, very recently made a little good change), in the name of personal and family law much more legally weird things are there.... but we can vote for change; have prenups, wills and spent some money on lawyers (XD), have trials; at least we have a very good constitution; that's a relief.

Well, when we talk about gender equality it's more about women, the deprived members of the society, who are usually not given the opportunity to chase their dreams, live their dreams but I highly appreciate Life Tak to bring out this aspect of gender equality that nobody thinks of.. Gender equality has nothing to do with being a lawyer. Even if her wife was in any other sector, still the gender equality would have been valid. It's about earning enough to support your house and spouse, irrespective of what job you're doing!

Love the topic. I did support my husband when he wanted to change roles and there were chances he would get fired and I was the one who ready to take financial responsibility if time arrived. By making this video it truly makes the society aware when we talk about gender equality this is how it should be.

with you guys...but i still think middle class family would take time to change..my husband was also reluctant engineer..but we decided that he would quit his job now he has started own school and teaching basketball to special kids...
But at that time society was against to us..even our families..people used to tease him..
But i am proud of ourself that we are not part of this so called society.

Yeh sikha ki every phase in life comes with its own set of responsibilities and we cannot just run away from them... We always have to take accountibility for our actions and having a strong loving and caring husband or wife is the one of the biggest gifts of God after parents in the world.....
