PLEASE NOTE: THE ENAMEL HAS BEEN UPDATED, & RATIOS MAY DIFFER FROM THOSE IN MY MIXING VIDEO, so please check the recipes below.
I adjust according to the reaction I'm after for each pour.

    • BEGINNER GUIDE TO LAYE... Details for you:
    Pearl Colours:
Jacquard Lumiere - Russet, Sunset Gold, Indigo & Burgundy.
    Pebeo - Copper & Blue/Green
    Jacquard Airbrush - Teal.
Mixed with PPM & water to thin like cream.
    YOUR BONUS TIP/RECIPE
    Pour-over Colours:
Jacquard Lumiere - Bright Gold & Jo Sonja - Carbon Black.
Mixed with PM & 2 teaspoons Golden Regular Gloss Gel.
    Instructions for mixing:
Put 2 teaspoons of Gel into the bottom of your cup, then add a LITTLE PM at a time and mix well. Try to get a smooth paste without lumps, I added about 200mls or 6oz of PM then the colour to my liking, you may need to add a little water if you are not using Aussie floetrol.
You may find this is thicker, but that's OK, it will react very quickly with the enamel so don't take your time tipping!

Flow Extender: 1 part Monte Marte Student Black, thinned with 50/50 Floetrol & water.
(PPM) 1Part Enamel, 3 parts (PM)
I add colour to my mediums until I am happy with them, I don't measure.
Water was added to Pearl colours for consistency. (cream-like)
No water is added to my pour-over colours unless using heavier-bodied paint.
If water is needed I use distilled water, as leftovers keep better.
Just call me Deb, My passion is fluid paint pouring, I have been practising my pouring since early 2022 after finding @PiecesofTaraArtistry @SaraTaylor @MelyDartist and so many other amazingly generous souls on RUclips, the reaction and movement of the paint fascinates me, I haven't stopped since, I can't thank them enough for what this has done for me.
This form of creativity tests me, ignites my imagination, and excites my soul.

Yay a lady from across the ditch ❤
Kaz in Perth here, that pour is stunning, why does no one put another canvas under the first one so when tilting and losing that much paint it can be spilt onto a canvas below lol 😊...just a thought.
    Loved the pour ❤
