What I love about this scene is not that Suiryu is humiliated, but that this brutal defeat ends up making him a better person and, like many of us, we can identify with him by being in an extreme situation. He wasn't a bad guy but he lived an empty life full of luxuries and women. He looked down on heroes and didn't think they were really useful. But the most important thing is that with that desperate plea for help, he not only ended up seeing the value of the heroes he underestimated, he not only realized how necessary they are. Here Suiryu learned the meaning of needing someone. To see the light that the help of others represents, to see that when everything is lost and in the dark someone else can be that light that takes you out of the darkness and he also wanted to be that light. Suiryu not only learned a lesson in humility, but he actually became a better person and later wanted to become a hero. How many times has someone saved us? How many times could a simple favor from others change the course of our lives? It moved me because we have all been like this at some time, alone, desperate, wanting to scream for help. It's not about waiting for someone to save us, but seeing that if someone ever does help us, we ourselves can be that hero to someone else. That is why Suiryu wanted to become a hero and in our own way we can also become one for anyone who needs us.
I want to see peoples reactions, not people thinking “ok I have to talk over the thing I’m suppose to be watching so my video isn’t boring” and start going off on a tangent 🤦🏾♂️
