“Everybody Loves Raymond” will always have a very special place in my heart. 2 years ago, I had a spinal fusion done that had some unexpected complications so we ended up staying a little over a month. Terrible stay, plus I was missing my softmore year of HS. But every night, I would put all my crap aside, dim the lights, put on their cozy warm blankets, and watch an hour of ELR each night. It was the only good thing about that stay. I got to laugh my butt off with my mom, and go to sleep with a smile on my face.. I looked forward to my hour of Raymond every night since, and still watch about an hour a night at my house. ELR is more than a show to me, it was a medicine after a terrible experience.. thank you ELR for giving me a light at the end of a storm, memories, laughs. Thank you, mom for standing by me through such a terrible experience❤️
I actually think the canister is the funniest one on this list. When Ray says, “I just like this jacket. It’s bitchin’.” Marie: “That’s not Easter language.”
This show does not get enough respect!! It was revolutionary in changing up the "Family sitcom" genre by focusing more on the parents than the children. It also created the careers of Ray Romano, Brad Garrett, Patricia Heaton, & even guest star, Kevin James, while also breathing new life in older actors like Peter Boyle and Doris Roberts! It's up there with Seinfeld, Friends, Family Matters, Modern Family, etc. Also Best "Frank and Marie" moment is the "Trophy Wife" clip!! xD xD xD
Also top moments- Debra repeatedly dropping the turkey on the kitchen floor, Ray screaming about Robert's date eating a fly and then Robert leaving her apartment through the window, Marie sabotaging Debra's cooking by giving her a bottle of spices with a fake label, and Marie walking in on Robert and Amy knocking boots.
Funniest line ever "I lost a good friend over 50 dollars, and when I'm driving down the street late at night. I think about my 50 dollars " Frank Barrone

The secondary storyline in the suitcase episode is one of my top favorites as well with Marie explaining the "terrible argument" she and Frank originally had over the giant fork and spoon on the wall!! Hahaha!
My favorites are "Bad Moon Rising", the one when Marie ruins Roberts FBI interview, and when Debra and Robert go swing dancing. There's also a touching scene when Frank wipes away Maries night cream. Love this show.
One funny moment from this show that did not make the list was the scene after Robert gets caught smoking cigarettes with Amy's mom and takes the fall for Amy's mom.
And her mom tells her husband, "I think you may be the reason I smoke." That is not funny out of context but the way the line is delivered, by the holier-than-thou Pat, played by Georgia Engel. ohmylanta. Whomever said the entire cast is brilliant is not wrong.
My favorite moment didn’t make it lol it’s when Marie and frank say they are moving out and Robert puts Amy on top of the fridge then ray tries to do the same to Debra but slams her into it instead😂
I have seen it probably 15 times. But the Cruising with Marie episode when Ray says "Oh good, skeet shooting. I'd like to sign up as SKEET." I still nearly hurt myself laughing!! SO perfect!! Love this show...thanks for all of it, Ray. 👏😊👏😊❤

I have the series on DVD and I binge-watch all 9 seasons at least once a year. I know pretty much every episode by heart by now. One of the best sitcoms ever made. Sad to think a lot of cast members are now gone.

Three other episodes that are hilarious are the one with the tofu turkey, the one when Marie purposely gives Deborah the wrong ingredients so her meatballs will not taste the same, and the one when Ray catches Frank petting the bunny. I consistently use the line, "Are you NEW?" from the bunny episode.
The family at the hospital with Robert in the bed telling the story about the bull chasing him....then the mom asks "did you he get away?" That was one of the funniest lines in the show.
According to the show runner, 95% of the show had roots in the real life experiences of himself, Ray Romano and the other writers. That's one of the reasons I admire it so much.
For #1, don’t forget that they had Ray stay frozen in that horror stare until the girl left and only THEN did he break free and exclaimed what he saw! XD

Overbearing mother, condescending father, mommy issues, sibling rivalry, emotionally stunted neglected son, oedipus complex, stuck in a marriage with an intrusive family, brother and sister in law chemistry. This sitcom is pretty dark. It keeps getting better every time I see it.

I think one of the all time best moments of this show was in the first season...when Allie and one of the twins were sick as well as Debra, and Ray had to take the kids to the doctor. When the dr. went to check out the kid, he said that he wasn't sick, and Ray was trying (in vain) to convince the dr. that he knows his kid, and he knows that he's sick.. and IN walks Robert with the other twin. The disgusted look on Robert's face, without a word that Ray didn't know the difference between his own kids had me in tears for about a half hour when I first saw the episode. Probably my all time favorite Robert moment. LMAO

In the middle of Ray's eulogy Robert lets out this sound. In fact he did it twice. That made me laugh so hard I have yet to see the whole episode. 🤣
