Thanks for the video 1noobnoob. I had been taking the purple deck with the class items, as although I've got a long haul in front of me to get 500 class items for my next tech tree research, I'm keen to finish it quickly so I can the +10 march increase. I'm tired of having a moderate account yet not having the firepower to hit players just a little stronger than me who have much bigger marches. I know, base skins can help, but even as a low-to-moderate spend player, the frequency I get new base skins is, at most, twice a year. I've got a priority list made of those now (Super Miner, Storm Factory, Arcadia, Shadow Dragon), but at best I might get the Super Miner from the Kung Fu Panda event - the others will be some time away. Thus, my keenness to get my march boosted, and hence my desire to get the class items and research speed ups. Beyond my particular circumstances though, I do agree that the purple deck is general not worth it in terms of gems, but I'd also argue the blue decks are marginally at best, as someone else mentioned, as 450 gems per gold shard is expensive, even though the flippy store credits offset this to some degree. Have you actually run the numbers and figured out the gems to shard ratio if one buys the blue decks at 900 gems (and the resultant flippy store credits)? It would be a useful exercise to see how it works out. 🤔
Good luck in the Kung Fu Panda event! I hope you get the skin you want. For flippy, you have to count the flippy tokens also in terms of the orange shards you get with them also. So the cost per three rising star decks is only about 338 gems per Orange Shard. So it's not that bad cost wise. Versus other events, that's pretty cheap. Now as I run through the event, and start running lower in gems, I skip more decks of both types trying to get to the Champion deck, which makes the orange shards even cheaper every time you grab on through the entire event. For me I think versus a lot of other games the reward to cost is pretty good in Orange Shards playing the way I do. I never took the time to count out my actual costs though for an entire cycle based on how I play it. I wouldn't be surprised if how I play it, the cost per Orange Shard is closer to 200 gems, but again I never counted it out. Thanks for the comment and I dig the thought you put into it for sure!
Thanks for the comment :). I think of the two shard deck more in terms of those plus the flippy tokens to exchange for orange shards. Now when I'm running low on gems I'll refresh a lot hoping to the the big win. Just depends on how many gems i have at the time.
Not wishing to crowd your comments, I had one other question: Where's the best place to try to sell my TW account? I think I've done my dash of "pay to win", and as much as I still get some enjoyment from it, the incessant spend and life intrusion of the game has reached the tipping point. I know my account isn't "valuable", but even if I could claw back NZD$50 or $100, that would be better than a poke in the eye. I've done a few searches already, but don't know which of the sites I've found would be safe to use. Any ideas?
No worries the comments all help my channel so I appreciate it 😀 I'd say if you still like playing don't sell it. Just stop spending or make a budget (I budget). I also budget my time, and my server is super understanding of that. Selling your account is against the rules and they can shut down your account. There are a few people that do it on youtube, but again super risky for the buyer. I'll try to keep an eye out for it in Discord (where I normally see it pop up), and if I do ill try to remember to link. Just can't remember the name.
@@1noobnoob Cool, thanks. I know the official policy is no sales of accounts, but I also know it happens regularly, and, why not? If TW implemented a buy-back scheme - say, $1 for every $40 or $50 spent, far fewer people would indulge in something that, legally, is totally above board. But, with TW being Chinese-owned, it's always - ALWAYS - about control. 🤨
@@1noobnoob I replied to your last message, but the YT pri cks deleted it for some reason. They really are a fascist law unto themselves, huh? Any joy with the Discord info?
Thanks for your reply to my last comment / question. I appreciate you taking the time to reply thoughtfully. Gave me something to think about. Off topic: There's been a bit of an ongoing discussion about 2 things in my alliance. First, some claim swapping to the war badge makes no difference to hitting the WB or Droid. Yet, since I record all my hits, my data strongly suggests that not to be true. Can you give me a definitive answer on that? I know that TW is forever tinkering with the underlying math mechanics, so there's the possibility that the higher hits I see with the war badge switched on are just natural variability, but I'm more inclined to think the badge is making a difference. The second thing is regarding towers. I've got 2 mech master teammates, who have been playing for 18 months (1 slightly stronger than me, one weaker), who claim the effective radius of a tower is restricted to the blue radiating pulse from it. I say that's nonsense, as when I click on my towers I can see a large, pale red square that extends outwards many squares from the tower (to just past the edge of my 12" tablet screen). They often give me stick because I often plonk my towers near the edge of their range to cut down on travel time to the WB - which possibly only saves 5 to 10 seconds, but I can't see any point in slapping the tower right next to him when the pale red area covers him quite amply (and ditto for the Droid). Your thoughts?
Thanks for the questions :) sorry for the delay long work day! In any event, answers here: badges matter for the alliance when they are applied period. Friends saying they don't apply are wrong. For towers, the red square is the effective range of the tower. Thanks and I hope that helps!!! Appreciate your support and comments for sure 😀
Noob, Only a fool uses gold shards for perk upgrades. Use gems and the free ssr hero shards you get from recruitment to move the perks around. It takes 440 shards to max a perk. By waiting to get 100+ old ssr shards before using them
Thanks for the comment, but this video wasn't about perking, i referenced it, but have an entirely different video on that. For a new player with a solid hero lineup, they will spend gold shards to upgrade their perks here and there until they have their PVP perks for 3 heroes just right. Newer players do not have the luxury some of us have in just moving the perks around, and we forget the grind. New players will have to use gold shards strategically unless they want to be handicapped in PVP play for years waiting to get them through random SSR shard drops. I explained in another video how to perk, perk farm, and build your heroes at the same time. That video also includes keeping reserves to ensure you can upgrade any great new hero when he/she comes out. It's a faster strategy that sacrifices nothing. Thanks again for the comment.
In my experience, the Gold deck will show up with a maximum 7 flips. Sometimes less, but never more than 7.
Thanks for the comment! I'm not sure I've had the same luck but I'll try counting next time to see if that's the case for me.
Best guide to Flippy I've seen. Caused me to change my strategy for the better.
Ohh awesome thanks! I really appreciate your support and comment 😀
Happy dance mode on!!!!!
Thanks for your work, great as always!!!!
Thanks gotta love Happy Dance Mode 😀

You know that they say great minds think alike😂❤🎉 thanks noob noob love the content much appreciated my brother
Thanks I appreciate your support! For sure great minds think alike 😀
I always ignore the deck with 2 gold shards and hunt the 6 gold shards deck up until 300 gems. 800 gems for 2 gold shards is questionable imo
