Rule #1 within Rule #1 of "Plan Your Run, Run Your Plan" - Porta Potty training and paying attention to where they are on your running routes. Always look down a side street, because you never know...
Two big takeaways for me, as I train for my first marathon 1) Oi, take a bit more time to just look around and smile. The suffering is there but have fun despite it! 2) I don't have to suck down my running gels ASAP. Really good advice actually, gonna try to take them down bit by bit when it's convenient as I keep running. Cheers mate, love the videos!

This was great. As an over 50 runner however, i often feel the running algorithm is deluged by the "young kids" and while I'm not doubting their skills and tips, some of it just doesn't apply to me at my age group. You should see these kids eat 😂😂 my 50 years metabolism could never
Excellent advice there..My biggest tip would be if you’re experiencing foot pain of any kind to buy a runner with a really spacious toe box..really loosen up those laces and to perhaps go a full size up on what you would normally wear so that your toes can move around easily..use them on flat softer surfaces and watch those foot ailments disappear

Loved seeing my fave runners pop up on here! Two I wasnt familiar with but as a whole, many hours watched and inspired to get our running. Phily, goran, flora, kofuzi, sarah (TRC), mary, ben and ben of course. Great collab. I also follow/watch nick bester, ben parkes. Plenty of FOMO but plenty of motivation!!
Great advice from a great group of runners! Flora Beverley was the first RUclips runner I ever followed, and she never disappoints. We need a round 2 of other wonderful runners too!
Thank you so much for this video, I used the gels on down hill tip yesterday and found it so much easier & can't help but think it contributed to shave 6 minutes from my ½ marathon PB and feeling better than after any training run this morning.

So I'm not as fast as Ben but I put my fuel in a softflak. I can take a sip whenever I want. I'll never go back to opening gels while trying to maintain just below LT.
